Hi All-just to add to present discussion-the fact of the matter is retail chains in different countries have completely different policies, even among their own stores. Price differences among different stores in the same chain, not just in Germany, but all over the world, are common. For years,I myself have heard, and seen proof on receipts, and from family members and friends that live in various areas, that this in fact occurs all of the time. As a matter of fact, there is well documented proof of chains that have come under fire for doing so-even sending different ads to different people in different postal codes. Within one state in the US,for instance, you can find tremendous price differences (New York city, vs a NY suburb), and differences in prices in stores in Europe have been discussed on every forum, I've visited, myself, for years.
Thanks again, everyone for sharing info with each other! With the amount of info swirling around the net (not just in regards to Steelbooks, but in general), it is natural to want to seek confirmation and contribute.
Thank you to Masterblaster for offering his time to obtain the items for members at a fair price, for this particular group buy, and any members who are willing daily,to help others on a big or small scale, 'behind the scenes'. As we've all seen, a variety of factors cause SB's to rise in price (sometimes exponentially) over time. Good luck to everyone who asked for them from MB-I hope you enjoy them, once on the shelf!
