Thanks mate! I Took a scan of the jumbo spine and used Photoshop to stitch it together then used the Impact font (slightly modified to match) for the title. I found the blu ray and eone logo's on google images.

I printed it out on glossy photo paper and used double sided tape to stick it to a piece of plastic cut from a plastic steel shell case to act as the spine. I might try some sticky photo paper next time though and just stick that on a donor spine.

Matching the font and colours was a pita. I'm having a go at redoing the spine as i wasn't totally satisfied with my first attempt - colour was off and font size/spacing/placement not quite right, but I have that just about sorted now so will redo it again :smashed:

who would have thought steelbook surgery could be this addictive :D

Hey for the most part the inner guts are all interchangable right? Like I wanna take the left side disc tray on Thor 2 and put it inside Frozen. That should work right?

The inside is a single plastic piece. You would have to completely switch the insides and the spines.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but can you buy the inner plastic trays from steelbooks? I have a few one disc steelbooks like nightmare before Xmas but I have gotten hold of the 3d disc and would like to swap out the single disc try for a double disc tray, so can I? And if so is it easy to do?

No you can't, Scanavo doesn't sell them. You can however buy damaged or used steelbooks from eBay and cannibalize them for their inner tray.

Been thinking about modding my Steelbooks a bit. I was thinking that instead of throwing away my old dvd copies i could keep them in the new steelbooks. Just one problem, where to put the disc? So, i thought i could add extra slots on the inside plastic to put the discs in. So instead of 1 or 2 i could fin it 3.

Anyone got some tips or know anything about how i could pull that off?
I believe there is nothing to buy except old steelbooks to slaughter?

As of now ive just put the dvds in a paperslip and put it inside the steelbook, but that doesnt look that fancy.

If you are going to be adding a disc to many steelbooks, you could look into something like these adhesive hubs that s7v7n mentioned he uses.
Yes, I think everyone that likes to Mod their SB's would agree with you that Scanavo should market their inserts. I've swapped out many parts to add more discs to certain cases & even bought damaged cases simply for cannibalizing the multiple disc holder inserts.

Another option I've done is to purchase "DVD Hubs" & simply stick them to the inside to hold an extra disc. Be aware that some don't have the best adhesive so I recommend you simply apply some clear drying rubber cement to help this.
