Anything regarding the upcoming season goes here! I will sticky this thread that way it stays on top of the section. So discuss everything about the league's happening here. Enjoy!

that's what happens when your Offensive Coordinator leaves at the end of the season for Florida..

Welcome to "Black Monday". Today is historically the day where more teams fire coaches and cut players than any other day in the year. The list of teams that will be looking for a new coach isn't too bad (Panthers and 49ers), but the list of teams that are possibly looking really surprised me. Right now, it's the Texans, Dolphins, Bengals, Titans, Browns, and Raiders. According to NFL.com, Al Davis is thinking about firing Cable and Hue Jackman, your OC is looking at the possibility of becoming a different team's head coach. I don't see the Raiders becoming a stable team for many years if Cable and Jackman leave.

That's crap that Weis is leaving already.

jesus christ that's just like Al Davis to fire the coach who is making this team what it is. facking *******. he better not go.

+1 I miss the days when the commentators would say that the AFC West was one of the hardest divisions and the days where a divisional game acutally meant something.

Let's get Sparano out of Miami now.

According to this article, it could happen some time this week.

I wanna hear some Playoff Predictions.

I don't understand the logic behind booting Sparano out of Miami. They blew before he got there and with a lot of creativity on his part they became a legitimate team. The rest of the firings are understandable. The real question is if the Titans retain Jeff Fisher, which I think they will, but if they don't then what team is gonna scoop him up. Dude is an awesome coach.

I agree that Fish is a good coach, but the ownership has to decide if they want to keep him or Vince Young. I'd keep Fish, but I have the feeling that he'll get fired and VY will get the "coach killer" tag.

Week 1
Indy v. Jets
KC v. Ravens
Saints v. Seahawks - this one will be really ugly. hide yo' kids
Packers v. Eagles

I think it was his first season we went 11-5 since then we have been trash plain and simple.Yes the Wildcat was creative but the team is to run based in a game that has obviously become about passing and scoring we where nearly last in almost every category, only good thing in the deal was Mike Nolan and his defense.I for one would love to have a john gruden as the head coach it's what we need a fire lit under the team, not another person he should retire because of old age. I also blame Bill Parcells.

John Gruden is not coming back to coach next year. He has said it several times. Bill Cowher is however going to make the move back but I'd put the Dolphins chances of getting him at very slim.

It would be interesting to see Cowher come back, but it doesn't look like he'll be going to Miami. NFL.com reported today that the talks with Sparano and the Dolphins owner were "productive", whatever that means.

Bill Cowher is unlikely to join the Miami Dolphins, according to a source close to the former Pittsburgh Steelers coach.

Looking at potential coaching openings around the NFL, the Dolphins represented the lone opportunity that made sense for Cowher, according to the source, but that sense has diminished.

The source said the Dolphins are strongly considering parting with head coach Tony Sparano, but they likely will retain general manager Jeff Ireland. The GM has built a strong rapport with Dolphins owner Steve Ross and also has close ties to former Kansas City Chiefs president Carl Peterson, a longtime friend and confidant of Ross.

Cowher, along with commanding a salary in the $7 million-to-$8 million range, would want his own personnel staff, meaning sweeping changes to the football-operations side of the organization -- in essence, clearing out those brought in previously by Bill Parcells.

Those close to Cowher don't expect him to move forward with the Dolphins unless the parameters of the job substantially change.

Cowher amassed a 149-90-1 regular-season record with the Steelers from 1992 to 2006. He led the team to six conference championship games and two Super Bowls, including a 21-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.

Plus, Adam Schefter just reported on his Twitter that "49ers requested permission to interview Raiders offensive coordinantor Hue Jackson for their head coach opening."
