New Wave of Alliance Steelbooks-October 2011

I hope this info is correct. I got my newsletter from DVDNGG this morning stating next wave of Alliance titles coming out Oct. 25 includes:

Equilibrium
From Dusk to Dawn
Requiem for a Dream
American History X

If these are steels, I'll be picking them all up.

No it was just info in a newsletter with just the four titles listed. There is nothing up on futureshop nor amazon yet.

For those needing to scale back purchases, here is some info regarding the the CA batch of steels lately.

1) No title got completely sold out in 1-2 months.
2) All are still available with only 2 being some what hard to locate, but not impossible (Hot Fuzz, Memento)
3) The prices started out cheaper, and then raised a bit .... then did one relatively nice price drop before going back up to a price higher than at Day 1.

So all in all, unless we get info about a "Limited release" then I wouldn't worry about these going OOS.

Seems more like the UK (upcoming store exclusives) and Japan titles are the ones that go OOS and don't return.

Well let me say this, I meant seems like NOW .... Cause we all know the UK titles before werent like that. They are practically giving away Wolfman and Green Zone (and if you don't own those, just buy the German versions ... they're better)

But look at Scott Pilgrim ... then then upcoming HMV and PLAY exclusives, just better to grab hold of those, yeah some may end up on .co.uk at some point while others wont.

I will end up owning all these 4 titles tho lol (the Alliance ones) as I do like these movies and have NONE on blu-ray! It'll just depend on price when I buy Requiem as its more like a one time watch every 10 years for me.

It's a hard sell for me. I just bought 3 of these for $6. Makes me feel like almost $26 a piece for these for a double dip....
