Tbh forgot about this. Was supposed to cancel but I do love this film and that steelbook so it is what it is. This is probably the closest to a premium well get for a while maybe ever (that’s what I’m telling myself to justify the price anyway)

Got a shipping confirmation by Zavvi too Pretty intrigued how the package will turn out overall. It's pretty funny and interesting that the major studios market these new editions now with attributes like "full gloss steelbook with deboss", showing that they full well know when they're putting out something shabby.

God this looks like absolute dogshit 
I think the font might be too thin in places for them to have done it only with the font itself, but they should have kept the debossing away completely in that case, do some nice spot-gloss or special varnish and maybe deboss elements on the back or something. Really not sure what I should do now, keep it and open it, resell it, argh...

Yeah this release has p!ssed me off. The price and gap between original to this release originally rubbed me up the wrong way but that debossing is so bad it just winds me up and that silver is just purely amateur. Nothing like the beauty shot at all
Does the slip even have any finish?
Suppose I’ll wait to see what it’s like in hand but WB and Universal have seemed to have had a huge dip in quality with these sets whilst increasing costs the greedy useless basterds. The last wave last year (soho, King Kong, Northman, twister etc) were so good and apparently set the bar too high for themselves!
I’ll see how Casper turns out but I was so disappointed with WB & their Corpse Bride and now looks to be a similar feeling with Universal and this it’s making not want The Wild Robot. The tittle missing from that steelbook is already annoying me
