Depbossing aside, which isn't the worst thing in the world, the optimist in me thinks the finish might look/feel better in hand. I'm not getting the pitchforks out after seeing just one YouTube video.

cancelled order as well, would of been 75.00 USD for the that. if i see it later down the line for 35.00 or less, might snap it up.
Like a big dumb dumb hairy ball bag, I sold on my initial Nosferatu Steelbook, giving in to the freaking fomo as per usual; ordering this set expecting a peak era finish. I'm stuck with this so I'm going to have to learn to love it despite my initial repulsed reactions.
As @Graphic_Delusions said, hopefully it'll look better in hand. I'll keep my Cat O'Nine Tails whip sharpened and ready though - only to use on myself mind you, purely for being a piece of from under cheese and selling on my original steelbook.
I've still got mine so I'm looking forward to comparing them side by side. I think I'll still prefer the new seat, despite the issues people are reporting.
I just couldn't order it to a US address, and then it was sold out, so I guess I'll stay with my French digipack.
I had this ordered until just last week and cancelled. Was worried I’d regret it but I definitely don’t if the vid is representative.
Anyone that isn’t happy with it even after opening it could easily return it if it doesn’t look pure bare metal as it’s not what you ordered as it’ll differ massively from the product picture.

Actually received mine early from Zavvi today but havent opened it yet.. Also have the early release steelbook so have to pick one lol. Really not sure on that finish and it really does look like bare metal finish from that video.
I'm starting to think that is why steelbooks should always be titleless on the front - otherwise this would have been GOAT of 2025.

completely possible. Manta used that excuse on the 4th matrix then all of a sudden debossed the thin titles on the rest and this is thicker letters
Honestly this is how it looked in my head. Individually bossed letters. Would’ve looked class. Killer. But nah took the lazy route and made it look sh!t
