"No Alien Steelbook for October. We've been asking for this one all year long. Part of the challenge is it is a big boxset so it would make sense to see these released as singles as and right now they have no interest in releasing these as singles as it's all about the boxset. Also, Fox does not do exclusives for the most part whcih is challening onto itself. That being said, we are actively working with them to do the singles but it won't be until next year and even then there are so many obstacles I can't say it's more than a 20% chance right now. I'll keep you guys updated

"Fox now has a bigger picture of the 26th for the October planned "Egg Edition" of the "Alien Anthology" was published. This special edition Blu-ray discs with six and four DVDs is very strictly limited. Exactly how much will be the contact for each country is unknown. She seems to be larger in Germany than the demand in any case: If the illuminated amazon.de "egg was" edition shortly after the pre-orders were made possible last night officially sold out.

Currently, it remains unclear whether there will be an additional quota for amazon. With other brands, there may well still give copies and who wants to try his luck, can of course also on 26 October to get up very early to get in retail stores a copy.

When is the amazon.fr in France for 27.10. Egg-scheduled edition of "Alien Anthology" is still pre-order for 124.99 EUR. Whether the French version of a German audio track is included, is not known, as the German version of a French soundtrack has also, but quite possible.[/SPOILER}

did you get your egg edition of this awsome collection? i ll get mine this friday, i have seen some coments on amazon that the package is not as awsome as the picture what do you think?

Hey Tono-this is one of the nicest collectible packages I've seen. It is plastic and painted and the 1st Alien movie looks amazing(I watched it last night). Of course it could have been made from a different material (metal, etc), but it's a Sideshow collectible (the higher end figurines,etc are very, very expensive, so I am not sure that would have worked.

Pictures are a product of slick marketing, and lighting, backgrounds, etc and other techniques to create advertisements will almost always produce a more polished look than the actual item. Personally, as a fan, this edition is a treat. I think it was priced a bit high, but then I chose to purchase it, and people had a choice to get much cheaper editions. Plus Fox knew there was a significant fan base and there was no reason to price it lower. I love mine and don't regret it one bit. It's numbered, the transfers will be better than the DVD (based on what I've seen, at least), and it was a unique package that fit the Alien franchise.

did anyone have a problem with disc 1, for some reason my screen went black and takes over 3 minutes to even load to the menu

Bailey, yes,I noticed long load times as well, despite having some of the best players wit recent firmware. But eventually it loaded.

Also, so no one misses it, the Egg set includes a $50 giftcard (in little envelope towards end of fold out case) to Sideshow Collectibles the company that created this set. While collectibles are costly, it can help you if you're looking to make a purchase anyway. Enjoy! DB
