- The steelbook illustration is by Krzysztof Domaradzki.
- The artwork for the slipbox was used previously for the Oldboy vinyl LP. It was co-ordinated by Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive, and illustrated by Laurent Durieux. The director of Oldboy Park Chan-wook wanted one of our editions to feature this artwork so we reached out to Milan Records and illustrator Laurent Durieux. You'll be able to see more of the artwork since parts of the top and bottom were cropped out for the vinyl LP.

Yeah that's the only thing letting this release down.

Would of thought they would make this one English friendly on the extras

Exactly. No doubt this release has cost them a hell of a lot to produce and you would've thought that they would have tried to do it so it opens it up to a wider audience. It's a shame, but I guess there may be studio restrictions, etc.

Appreciate the efforts but that shouldn't be used as an excuse to jack up the price like PA did with Planet Earth.
You do know that Planet Earth is not part of Plain Archive's lineup, right? They're just giving international customers the opportunity to order it from them. And I'm sure that while Oldboy will cost a bit more than other releases due to it containing 2 films, it'll still be fair because with Plain you only get quality.

Disappointing design work from PA. Why put the same scene/shot in so many different places in the same package? Slip cover, keep case, and book all feature the same scene, on both front and back. And it doesn't stop there, it's even on some of the goodies! Not very creative. I sure hope the steelbook packages are WAY better than this.

Sorry, can you point to me to the post with the artwork? Hate repetitive artworks.

EXCEPT if you've actually seen the movie, you'd know it's NOT the same scene. Oh Dae Su with the hammer to the antagonist's head is a totally different scene than Oh Dae Su with a hammer in the hallway. So your complaint doesn't make any sense.

I've seen the movie several times. Doesn't make any difference whatsoever that they're not all from the same scene if they LOOK like the same thing. Doesn't make it any less repetitive.

My complaint makes PERFECT sense.

I guess you should have said that first. That you don't like it when images LOOK similar. Hammer = bad LOL. No worries, time for work.

It would be nice if they didn't make as many copies of this as they have been with most titles lately. I really do not like some of the artwork up on FB. To many grainy black and white still shots. I still have faith the Full Slip Box will turn out nice, it's just okay, the one picture I saw with the hammer but I have faith it will turn out nicely. I assume this is still a work in progress

Love the keepcase art and the hammer theme that runs throughout. Not sure if I'll grab it or hold off for one of the steels, though.

(Will probably crack and get both.)

Yes, Purple PET is not an option. They should release a version for this movie, after ISTD, ZDT and IG.

Can't wait to see how krzysztof domaradzki's work will be used :woot:
