- The steelbook illustration is by Krzysztof Domaradzki.
- The artwork for the slipbox was used previously for the Oldboy vinyl LP. It was co-ordinated by Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive, and illustrated by Laurent Durieux. The director of Oldboy Park Chan-wook wanted one of our editions to feature this artwork so we reached out to Milan Records and illustrator Laurent Durieux. You'll be able to see more of the artwork since parts of the top and bottom were cropped out for the vinyl LP.

The purple slip could be pretty slick with the right treatment. The slip on the keepcase version is still my favorite. Hopefully it pops back in stock at some point.

i havent seen the film in a long time, i thought the purple design was just random, but i did a little search and it is of some significance in the film lol

i also came across this, i,m not sure where its from. i think it may be something a fan made ?

so i think the purple one is quite an attractive package for the fans. i was going to go for design 3, but now im thinking maybe design 2 is the best fitting for the film.

i guess it will depend on the differences between the contents of the two, ie envelopes, postcards, art on booklets :/

A sh!t ton of work on the content of the discs!

Yes. That's the most positive and impressive thing for this release. They shot this complete new documentation. Which retailer ever did/would do that. That's appreciation to the fullest for this movie. I can only tip my hat for this effort!

But Plain Archive to me is a retailer that went all out creative wise for their releases. The bees wax seals, the 1/4 slip lenticular, the PET slips, hand stitched booklet, the holographic back of Master 1/4 slip. With Propaganda they got a master in calligraphy. When you got impressive artworks like for The Wrestler, ISTD, The Master or Foxcatcher and you look at these three it's just not what it could've been. Especially for this movie. I'll not spend premium money on these. Then I would just like to have the new disc with the documentation in a Keep Case and I'm good ..

You hafta make a stock allowance for all the dummy scalpers though; what do we think, a quarter of all buyers will buy two or three additional copies so they can make a gigantic (and so fulfilling knowing they've deprived a real movie buff!) $20 profit?

I think people are probably right and this will stick around for a little while though. Even longer in Korean stores as is usually the norm. Imagine the PET(?) Slip will go first. Even the Scanavo took a while to sell out of international stock... longer than most would have anticipated at least

The keepcase never interested me because it's not a steelbook no 3rd disc and also didn't think of slip art as anything special. I love the look of the steelbook and I think the purple slip here could turn out to be awesome with the right special treatment on the slip like shining foil effect on the purple spots. One edition is enough for me for this movie so that's the one I'm going for.
