- The steelbook illustration is by Krzysztof Domaradzki.
- The artwork for the slipbox was used previously for the Oldboy vinyl LP. It was co-ordinated by Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive, and illustrated by Laurent Durieux. The director of Oldboy Park Chan-wook wanted one of our editions to feature this artwork so we reached out to Milan Records and illustrator Laurent Durieux. You'll be able to see more of the artwork since parts of the top and bottom were cropped out for the vinyl LP.

Totally agree. I think I'm one of the first to criticized PA here on HDN. They're still an excellent company and I'm still gonna support them but I'm skipping these steels.

Because it's Old Boy. No need so much advertising for this release, because the hype is real since 2014 .

The wait was soooo long, that we had time to imagine the wildest projects for this release. And finally, it is a little bit disappointing.

Personally, can't wait to see this new version of the movie ! And i'm waiting for the bonus and the documentary Old Days .

For this release, inside is as important as the outside. (But I understand those who don't care and prefer keep their copy sealed ).

Me too. Undecided between editions B and C. At the moment I fancy B, but my decision is not final yet.

I've just wrote to them on Facebook to ask if there's any chance we'll see more of the package today. They're usually pretty responsive so I'll report back when they do.

I said:
"Oldboy preorder is tomorrow, any chance we'll see package shots or anything today? Still undecided between design B and C. Package shots would certainly help me make up my mind."

They said:
"Details coming soon."

I'd assume they mean today given what I asked but thats an awfully vague answer. Could they really have not just said "Yes, they'll be online later today." or something.

After 2 year wait since this thread was started, PA seems to be faltering, package shots left at the last minute. Kudos to what they did with Old Days documentary but the slip art choices isn't up to their usual standards. Hope to see some nice treatment on the slips (& that they show us before live time). I like the steelbook design better than the slips so I'm happy that there's a quarter slip option.
