- The steelbook illustration is by Krzysztof Domaradzki.
- The artwork for the slipbox was used previously for the Oldboy vinyl LP. It was co-ordinated by Nicolas Winding Refn, the director of Drive, and illustrated by Laurent Durieux. The director of Oldboy Park Chan-wook wanted one of our editions to feature this artwork so we reached out to Milan Records and illustrator Laurent Durieux. You'll be able to see more of the artwork since parts of the top and bottom were cropped out for the vinyl LP.

I've decided to pass. 1/4 Slip looks nice but not nice enough to pay premium money.
The Durieux artwork is amazing but as a print and not as a Full Slip. And my OST vinyl got already this artwork. No premium money for copy paste job. Sorry PA but I can't feel the magic anymore.
Only sad thing is that I'll miss out on their documentation. Because that's why the price is higher than usual and that would be okay for me.

So there's me waiting for a affordable Keep Case with the new master, maybe from CJ Entertainment.
Or I'll go for the upcoming Mediabook by Capelight that includes the new master.

Im disappointed with the contents of each package. usually PA make each one individual in some way. making it quite difficult to decide which one you actually want.. which is a good thing. it seems this time they just copy and pasted the contents across each type. Since they set the standard high from the start, this seems like a lack of effort in comparison.

although i do appreciate a lot of work has been put in to create content for the actual discs.

I will still be buying tomorrow, but considering how long they had this in the works, it seems like an anti climax

They have changed the 3 character cards and the stickers for each version. It would have been nice if they had more variations between the editions though.

I want one of the full slips but the pre-order time sucks for eastern time in the US. Haven't decided if I want to wake up in the middle of the night to buy this or just try my luck 3 hours after pre-order. Leaning towards trying my luck when I get up for work.

Not surprised they dropped type C. Really feels like the buzz for this release fizzled out. I guess it has to happen to everyone sooner or later. Just wondering if they blew more of their budget on Old Days than they initially had in mind and it affected their design process. Really stumped on what to do as I want the 3rd disc but none of them are speaking to me at all. I guess I should hold out for some beauty shots.

5,500 copies wowzer, I don't think I have ever seen this large a print run from any of the specialty retailers. 5,000 for Novamedia's Avengers was the current champ I think? And they had 3 full slips and a lenti. PA better hope international buyers purchase over half this stock otherwise this will be on PA's website at the end of 2017 still in stock, if someone already brought this up apologies but I wasn't about to read 10 pages back.

I think Oldboy is very popular in Korea, they sold out 2,200 copies of the Amaray edition in a day so in guessing this could be more popular than people think.

Yep, that documentary plus if you worked on a project for 2 years you'd add a fair amount of profit. I know I would.

Why isn't PA giving detailed info on the finish of the slipboxes like they used to? (i.e. "gold and silver highlights with sparkling bits of pearls and pixie dust"). Now it just says the slipboxes are "classy."
