How many people open their Steelbooks when they buy them or do you just leave them sealed.

So far i have 13 Steelbooks and have opened 3 i opened Angels and Demons,Inglorious Bastards and District 9.

I fear if i open my pirates and nightmare before christmas ones i will have to modify them to be able to put the discs in and not have them in a sleeve

I open all my Steelbooks to watch them - If I buy them I intend to watch them, rather than leave them Sealed.

same here, always open my steelbooks to watch. I have a few that are sealed in which i am not fussed on watching or i bought duplicate copies.

I open mine, there's usually card covering the back art/part of the front. Whilst I can understand the appeal to keep them sealed for resale value, I buy them intending to keep them.

So you guys who open all yours - I'm guessing you put them in resealable poly bags, right?

And do you include all the card backings and any other bits of packaging in the poly bag, or do you just display the bare steelbook in the bag and put the bits of card and paper and stuff elsewhere?

Just curious.

Actually no, when I poly bag my SteelBooks I take the cardback and I file it in the filing cabinet so as to also keep it safe. I display just the SteelBook on my shelves inside it's poly bag. I really don't care to display the technical facts about the discs inside so when I show off my SteelBooks they see them in all there beauty. :)

Resealable Poly Bags - no, I don't use those for mine
Card backings - I throw them out

I keep mine sealed until I decide to watch them. After that I keep them in a poly bag. Currently keep the data sheet with them but trying to think of somewhere else to keep those safe so I can display my steels in all their naked glory!

i've opened my personal collection...it's the only way i can examine and know i have a dentless steelbook. i keep them protected using the resealable polybag and keep the cardboard that comes with it.

i always open mine and put them in a poly bag, i have a box that i put all the cardboard in to keep safe, but looking at the difference in value to some of these stelz when there open and sealed is un real, you can get a play.com star trek open for £30, sealed they go for £70 +, makes me not want to open them, but then you cant look at the amazing art work :ohno: what to do, what to do
