Hmm, interested to see if they'll offer a different cover at AMZ DE...The studios have been closing the gap between theater releases and home video releases for years, and some countries, including the US, have whole promos for 'pre-ordering movies still in theaters'...other countries are simply following suit, and the home video distributors are just capitalizing on 'in theater' or 'coming soon' hype...will continue to be the norm...

The reason they bring them out faster is to try to combat piracy. What they forget is that if someone would rather illegally obtain a movie than pay for it, then they won't care if it gets released faster.

it is the trend now. Major productions always got the global-wide steelbook release. I think this will pop-up in North America and Asia as well.
