Well, I can't quite figure out if they have actually sold out by failing to lock quantities or not.
I have found that most sellers have just one active listing with a single copy, but I have found a few sellers with 2 available and one with 4 available.
Still, they could just have multiple accounts of friends and family in order to get their hands on those, so I have nothing definitive.

I suppose the only "good news" is it seems that the BIN pricing has come down from the $200+ range already and is at the $175 mark. Additionally, the only ones getting bids are around the $100-$120 mark.
I am hoping that they flood the market, find they aren't getting what they want for them, and choose to return their preorders.

It probably isn't sold out. Amazon Japan are probably just pulling the same tricks as the UK site by making it pop in and out of stock causing extra demand. It seems to be working a treat for them here.

That would make sense. It disappeared too quickly for any decent quantity to sell out, so they almost certainly pulled it for some reason. If so, it's gonna upset a lot of Japanese traders who still have it listed as a steelbook for crazy prices.
