Possibly an order closer to the December ship date will work, but I don't see why it would be any different. Best hope is to maybe preorder something that'll release the same day.

You could always order a few copies of the regular Pacific Rim and then just return them afterwards. At least you'll know that it releases on the same day.

Just another word of warning. Adding items to an order to get a box packaging is no guarantee either. A lot of members here have experienced the split order syndrome. They can and will ship out items in an order separately.

Depending on the alignment of the Moon and Mars your precious steelbook could be separated into its own shipment. And if it doesn't have the gift option it will be put in those very eco-friendly paper card envelopes.

I did, it's weird that I can order the new one with gift wrapped then I cancelled the first one that I placed (without gift-wrapped) then later on I tried to order the second one but they said " This item has limited purchase quantity" so I can't order the second one... and now it's oos... again... (now I was thinking that I shouldn't cancel my first order... )

I cancelled my non-gift wrapped order after I ordered the gift wrapped one. Allowed me to have two sitting on my account without a problem.
