This NEEDS pixie dust, its vital to the film as well as being iconic

think this is the general consensus except for one person arguing the art is up it must not change, question i ask is how many times does a product say artwork tbc. it is still not set in stone till pre-orders are taken imho and even then artwork can change and we can't even pre-order till the 16th nov.

time we tell and we will see, just wish someone who has now fully put his point across we all get what he wants would now leave it there as is turning into a constant no we don't, yes we do.
other people who haven't had a chance to put there point across and give them a chance to speak would be nice after all this is a forum and prob putting off members from having a say.

According to another site peter pan is going live tonight and I quote

Animated classic Peter Pan is getting a Zavvi exclusive Steelbook release on February 10th.

Artwork is still TBC, but pre-orders will be live on the evening of November 9th (ignore the Sold Out button currently on the listing).

Why, why, why does Zavvi continue to release matte/embossed/framed steelbooks while they are showing shiny and vivid artworks on the product pages ? :(
Why don't they just do like Futureshop or Kimchidvd and release true beauties ???

Would anyone be kind enough to make a poll on whether or not we want gloss or matte finishes on these disney releases and hopefully zavvi get the idea accross. I have no clue, thank you

Wreck has already explained that Zavvi have had no control over the recent trend of matte finishes. I'm sure every one of these Disney releases would have a finish like Aladdin, Finding Nemo and WFRR if they had the choice.

Fair enough, cheers for the help. Finding nemo is my favourite steelbook this year so far although I'm probably biased as I love the film. Aladdin is really nice too, I just wish the others would follow in their great footsteps

That sounds like such a B.S. answer to cover Zavvi's butt when what they are really likely doing is cutting costs and raising the profit margin. Doesn't Steelbook make these to order? Glossy finish is probably a check box on their order form with a cost associated with the service. How is it the Asian market can keep delivering these beautifully colorful and shiny Steelbooks when it is a system that nobody has any control over?

:blu-ray:ullsh*t.

I have to agree with this. Blufans, Kimchi keep churning out custom designed glossy Scanavo steelbooks with their own choice of artwork, emboss/deboss, slip, everything.

Zavvi is a much bigger operation. Why can they not also do the same?

I trust Wreck when he says there is a valid reason, it's a shame if you don't.

Oh I trust that there is a valid reason...just not the one he gave you.

You don't know the reason though, so how do you know it isn't true?

I trust wreck. I don't trust the people telling him things.

Why would Zavvi lie? The lack of gloss is not just an issue affecting Zavvi releases, that is a fact clear for all to see. If it was a cost issue and a conscious choice by Zavvi, then why aren't we seeing general releases (like for example Sony titles which always used to be glossy) with glossy finishes?
