i just finished watching this one, i liked it, not to bad....i encountered 1 problem, from time to time the image kind of jumped...so i think is a problem with my disc because i tried another movie and no image distortion at all. have any of you have had any problem with the disc?

I just got charged for this and noticed that HMV.uk charged me an extra $4. This also happened when I ordered Flash Gordon and Priest. Anyone know why? Or if there is an additional fee they charge to US customers and don't tell us? I emailed them but didn't get a reply yet.

I too noticed the increased quality in the shipping box, but the "double play" thing on the top of this is really lame. Are all HMV steels going to have this? I was going to order the Thor one from them, but i really dont like that banner thing.

Don't know if anyone else had this problem, I tested the POTC Strnger Tides on my old Sharp Blu-ray player, (region A) and it locks up everytime after I click "English" from the language selection. Even when I clicked a different language it locked up. But it played fine on my PS3, which is where my big screen is anyways, but so far this is the first blu that doesn't that doesn't play on my Sharp player

I've ordered from HMV many times for their exclusives. Don't usually recall seeing the banner on the Steelbook, although they did do it for Prince of Persia too. Might be a Disney thing?

Disney steelbooks from N.America are region A, and you would think that this one coming from the UK is region B, but it's region free. Go figure.

I like this one better than the Canadian one b/c you don't have to buy the 3D version with it but The Canadian one is nicer b/c it doesn't have the ratings as part of the tin.. and I am not sure if the Double Play banner is part of the tin or not but if it is it just makes the case excessively busy. I'll just stick with the Canadian one as long as it doesn't come bilingual

Yeah, unfortunately the double play banner is printed on the steelbook.
