....actually, i see no mention of a 3rd disc/extras on play's site. Just "Digital Copy"

bit confused. can't see any errors in the OP

3 discs refer to 3D Disc, 2D disc and bonus disc (i think or i hope)

Digital Copy must be a download only via redemption code

Thanks Saber-that's the info we have now. As I mentioned before the DC may be a code as opposed to a disc-I am not sure. If any other info becomes available we will update the thread again. Thanks!

ahh ok i think i understand now. When i referred to Director's Cut as "DC" above, Steelbookonly thought i was talking about the digital copy, which lead me to think he was saying there is no 3rd disc, only a digital copy ...leading to even more confusion lol

Agree if it's the Ultraviolet digital copy rather than the iTunes version.

I can't think of a Ridley Scott film where the DC was actually better than the theatrical cut. Alien TC was better (which Scott acknowledges), Gladiator DC was overly long.... Etc.

I just wish I could sell the 3D disc back to Play for some money off.

The Final Cut of Blade Runner (which is the actual Director's Cut, as opposed to the one they called the Director's Cut) is by far the superior version of the film.

the theatrical cut of Gladiator was the Director's Cut. The Extended Edition is just that, an extended cut, not a director's cut.

the theatrical cut of Prometheus was the Director's Cut, as well...

I agree because of the 3D disc the price literally goes up at least 5 USD or more depending on the film.
