Fixed thread, just don't hotlink to the CFW's, roms, etc.

If you come into the thread and complain about piracy you will get a warning. If you want to complain, I can create a separate thread.

Nothing posted can allow piracy. They are all homebrew or emulators.

That's awesome. Has everything been confirmed to work?? Do you know if there is a way to downgrade your firmware?

With homebrew there is alot of stuff confirmed to work, but there is always a risk with installing anything, that you will brick your console.

There is a way to downgrade, but I don't recommend it. Why downgrade when everything works on the current firmware.

Oh really, yeah i must be retarded.

Couldnt possibly be my console

How are you trying install the CFW?

I didn't say you are retarded, sometimes missing the smallest step in homebrew will break everything, or won't allow it to work.

Edit: With Geohot's CFW, it's a PUP file or the firmware file for the console. You must put it on a USB drive (which should be FAT32), under the folder levels of : PS3--->UPDATE

The file should go inside the UPDATE folder (caps are key here).

Once done, just plug in the USB device, click update from storage device, and enjoy CFW.

Other possiblities for PS3 not reading file is that the file wasn't completely downloaded, and it got corrupted while moving from PC to USB.

did try xmb and recovery, anyway got it to work after the 20th try,did nothing different guess sometimes it takes a few tries

strange though, cant seem to install anything, looking through post you drag the .pkg file to the root of your usb device and it should show under the game section in the xmb,i dont see anything

should have an install package folder, click that, and it should see it.
