If you are one of the many, many comic fans, then you’re probably as excited as we are for the launch of the PSP Digital Comics store. The wait ends for several countries today, as the new service launches in the U.S., U.K., and other countries.
Announced on the European PlayStation Blog, the Digital Comics store will go live at 5 p.m. (GMT) in the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The service was slated to launch today in Ireland, but it appears Sony is still working through some technical issues, therefore it is delayed. According to a tweet from PSNComics, the service is expected to launch today at noon PST.
The service will include comics ranging the classic superheroes of Marvel to the lighter characters of Disney. We are also pretty excited about the inclusion of local publishers.
The digital comics come equipped with AutoFlow, which allows you to press one button to move your comic frame-to-frame, as well as zoom in and out. You can also read your comics while listening to your favorite music. There’s a host of free content launching with the service, so head on over to playstationcomics.com to learn more.
