I am deeply saddened to tell you all that "Nassar" aka. "TheBlurayFreak" passed away at the age of 23 on March 4, 2013. My heart sank when I was told of his passing from a youtube friend.

He was a strong young man who I have been told fought till the end but eventually lost his battle to Cancer. Most people that know him knew him from Youtube as I did but he was a member here under the same username as Youtube ("theblurayfreak") although didn't post much. We talked over the past year and half on Youtube many times and he was a genuinely good guy who loved movies and steelbooks. Sadly had to sell most of it at the end to pay for experimental drugs and treatment I was told to try and keep fighting.

I just thought it important to put this thread up for him and post his Youtube channels comments page link below so that any of you that knew him can post a quick comment on his page which I hope someone from his family and friends will see and Im sure will appreciate that so many of us cared about him in the movie community online.

Nassar you were taken too soon from this world and will be missed but not forgotten. R.I.P brother.

Hey guys ... HDN has put forth a Zombieland steelbook where 100% of the sale will go to Cancer Research in memory of Nassar/ TheBlurayFreak.

Perhaps this might be your personal holy grail?

A letter will be included from staff with something else.... surprise.

thread moved to main steelbook forum ... This is far more important then any steelbook case, and this is where the thread will get the most attention.

RIP man although I never knew you... I had seen some of your videos.

Very sorry to hear the news. I'm sure all of our thoughts are with his family and friends. I've recently lost a friend at 33 suddenly and today heard that my Auntie died this afternoon.

RIP

I didn't personally knew this guy but I got to see some of his videos on youtube when I learned that he was once scammed by Fast Eddie. But let's not talk about that.

May he rest in piece.

Terrible news. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Losing someone is hard enough, let alone someone so young. I'm sure he's left many great memories behind for his family and friends to remember him by.

Shine on your crazy diamond!
wherever he is, I bet he's got a massive Steelbook collection surrounding him making him smile!
Another life taken all too soon buy cancer... truly a sad sad day
