I was tempted to give this 3 stars, because it tries too hard to be funny a lot of the time IMO, which feels forced and unnatural (apart from Billie Lourd, who is just naturally funny anyway). However, it actually starts to get a little more serious midway through and has some real heart to it, so by the end of the film I found myself really attached to the characters and it weirdly left me feeling kinda nostalgic. Also, I loved how the pool scene was shot... it totally would've worked as a music video.
Yep, I'd noticed, and I can definitely understand why so many loved it and may have even found it hilarious. Humour-wise, it didn't quite deliver as many LOLs as I'd hoped (pretty much seen it all before from films like Superbad), but still enough for me to give it 4 stars.
Nah, this ain't no Black Panther (overrated)! I'd honestly probably give it 4 1/2 if I bothered with half stars. I thought it was pure entertainment and loads of fun... made a nice change to finally see an MCU movie with a female as its lead too. Might also help that I have a huge soft spot for the 90s, in which CM takes place.
Chernobyl tv series : 5/5. Speechless left me this. Acting. Directing. Music. Setups, everything. If anyone have visited USSR that era they know it looked that bleak. I have. I'm old, I know I know ...
Glass : 1/5. Wow ! What a let down ... Unbreakable and Slip were excellent.
