So i take it that the numbering on the steelbook will match the number on the (very nice) medallion? Or will it be more random?

They (Disney) decided to number the gift instead of the case. It was supposed to be a certificates that states the number, not sure if it's still have the cert. as the gift is numbered now. From 000-999
