Now that I am starting to get region "B" releases I now need a player. Would like a cheapo(under 50$ if possible), as it will not be used often at all. Recommendations? link?

Go to your nearest Wal-Mart and check out the cheap bluray players there...then check online...got mine in Wal-Mart (in Canada)

Try Bombay Electronics. They have a butt load of multi region Blu-Ray players.

With a downgraded Firmware it can be and it's easy to find and download it

I screwed mine up last night trying to watch that damned MIBIII from HMV. Thought it needed an update so I hooked it up to download. Did the factory reset and still can not use the 9113 code.

INSIGNIA NS-WBRDVD2

Best buy doesn't carry them no more But theres someone on ebay that sells them cheap and with 2 year warranty believe me you'll need it

I think it does, you just have to download the Firmware downgrade.

The Panasonic region free trick works well on my bdt220.

I really need to get one of these. There's so many great region A steels that I haven't bought purely coz I have region B player!

I picked up the toshiba BDX3200 a few weeks ago as my region A player. Using the Australian firmware it's a doddle to change the players region. So far I've had no problems, it's a bit of an old player, but does the trick if you want to watch some region locked discs Recommend it to all UK ninjas!

Quick question,
I have the ever-so popular INSIGNIA NS-WBRDVD2, but havent used it in over a year (to watch Tinker Tailor). I just moved and hooked this player up to a new TV. The player has never been hooked up to internet or had FIRMWARE upgraded. Is there something else I need to do to get 9-1-1-3 to work again? I try to do it in the main menu, and all I get is "the ghostbuster" symbol in the right corner, not allowing my entry.

Any thoughts?

^^^press Set up then 9-1-1-3
If that doesn't work then just Downgrade the firmware
