I'm definitely buying Pulp Fiction. I've always wanted a Pulp Fiction steelbook. I have the huge theatre banner on a wall.

So after seeing everybody's pics of the Reservoir Dogs steelbook I decided to put in an order for the lenti since I don't have a Res. Dogs steel.

Then I read your post and it reminded me that I already have the Mondo X steel.

Still, this will go well with PF.

My only gripe lies with the "white" base color of the steel. I still think it's not clean enough, even though it does look better when the shrink wrap is removed. I wonder if it's even possible to give steels a brighter white color at reasonable cost? Any insights? @Wreck

white layers is where things get tricky and more costly. more attention to detail and white layers first will create a more white look steel as opposed to metal being shown through. you can see that in some gloss as well, esp in uk steels. its why a lot of USA steels have a more full gloss look when they do gloss cause the run is so much bigger the cost is minimal spread across a bigger run.

Scanavo was really pumped (NA) when doing the Mondo steels from Canada cause they were pushing out what I deem some of the best quality steels in regards to finish ever. Anybody who has ever held pans , dredd, drive, and some others in hand know. Been some really good ones in EU too , sometimes when the steels are shared the run is then bigger and their is higher possibility of some great quality steel. And then there are those like FAC or Nova who will cater to that niche market as well so we def all see some of these. But often times I do recognize people saying this is gloss, and then they say another Country is too but you can see the difference greatly in person or with the right pictures. Thor Ragnarok USA vs. UK comes to mind. Totally different. And speaking of res dogs while the finish on both is nice many people think Res Dogs USA and Res Dogs UK are same steel, they arent with art and finish differences. Very minor and small tho, and both great steels.

I forgot about the U.K./ US res dogs mondo differences

Glad you helped me with that one

@Stygian

Ok maybe finish is basically same but subtle art differences. Just took a quick side by side. On front notice brick wall pattern on bottom left

On back notice the big silver on the face portraits

Ignore any signature as that is me getting them actually signed by stout. :)

OK yes I see the bricks. I can't really notice any difference on the back.
But on the front those signatures are way off! ;)

look at the portrait heads on front top and back bottom ... then look right behind the head and look at the silver ... the other is black ... its an easier spot then bricks i think.haha

OK now for protective cases. First time.

Anybody know which protective cases are the best fit for the following?
Are they hard plastic cases or are they foldable plastic cases?

- Reservoir Dogs Lenti
- Pulp Fiction Lenti (probably will be the same as Res.?)
- Blufans The Force Awakens Lenti

Thank you in advance.

AHH!!! OK I was looking at the actual faces

I´ve got my slip B today and Im very happy with it, it looks great in hand. After first photos here I was worry about a colors, but luckily it´s nice colorful and vivid. Texture is just classic rough paper with embossed and glossed writings, just typical slip B line, I like it.

But I like all editions in this beautiful Nova release, @CleverLoginName very nice photos, really makes me to want this one as well :oohyeah:.

Also like the lenti transition and the fact it is full slip lenti, @spass which one is your favorite buddy?

Anyway, here a few photos of the slip

Damn that’s a might fine looking steelbook,
So clean and minimal looking - love it.

Might have a gander on the bay see if I can obtain a cost price lenti at some point down the line

So... i just received a package from Novamedia... and i discovered a lenti version instead of full slip that i ordered. Unfortunately i don’t like linticular slips in general and have none in my collection.
Do you think there is any way they could fix it, like sending me just a slip?

If the reason for that is due to the lack of funds right now that makes sense.

But they are still in stock at Nova now.

Well you haven’t gotten what you ordered so of course Nova will just have to fix it in the way that’s best for them. Just reach out to their customer service.
