You're right about the group buys here. I have at least 5 steelbooks I would never have had in my collection if it were not for the group buys here.

Echoing what has already been said, arrived it crappy envelope but amazingly no damage. It's going to happen sooner or later if they keep this up, I am just really glad it wasn't this that got damaged as it is one of my all time favourites and a stunning steel to boot.

This looks stunning. Can't wait til I get mine. Looks like someone over there heard my complaining about covering up 3/5 characters with a plain slip like almost all their other Disney releases, and printed the graphics on the slip itself. This makes it head and shoulders above those titles that were cover with a plain 1/4 slip for no good reason. now, about that shipping in a cardboard folder thing...... I guess I'll have to receive mine before I go off in one of my rants lol.

I've just opened mine and fortunately it is mint. I think the 'foam' does make a slight difference, so it is a welcome addition if Zavvi are going to insist on using these cardboard mailers. The packaging isn't ideal but anything other than an oversized box with plenty of bubble wrap is a risk for a collector and I don't think it is that much worse than the slim white boxes they were using previously.

As for the Steelbook itself, it looks great of course. The artwork is awesome, even the green border works and the glossy finish brings out the best in the artwork as always seems to be the case with Disney Steelbooks. I love that almost everything is embossed because it means no characters are obscured by the raised border as the embossing goes to the edge of the border. It is is what should have happened with the Czech edition of The Wolf of Wall Street.

Im sure its easy for you to have this opinion since yours arrived mint. I bet all the members on here that receive their Robin Hood steelbook with dents and scratches will beg to differ. This new "foam" is actually thinner than the foam used just 3 weeks ago with their white boxes. So not only did they cut back on the quality of the box, but on the foam too. All while raising the price on most exclusive steelbooks the last 4 months. There is no excusing this. They need to start charging more for shipping and package these things properly. Its the only solution I see.

Agreed! Limited print runs under 4000 should ONLY be sent in a proper box with good quality bubble wrap. I'm happy to pay more for that service.

These mailers are unacceptable on every level.

Mine came with a little dent. At first I was going to just let it slide but then I thought why just accept it? I spend enough money on these things and they should arrive mint. Plus I've seen it now and can't un-see it. So it's going back.

im dreading what mine will look like after traveling thousands of miles to the US. A disturbing trend lately...2 steels for Amazon italy & 1 from Amazon U.K. came in the cardboard envelope with no padding...luckily no damage. Their shipping departments are run by morons.

Well, what a surprise... 3 little dents similar to Headhunter's and a lovely scratch on the back. I don't have a digital camera or smart phone, so am unable to return it as "damaged" as Zavvi have now made it compulsory to upload a pic to allow the e-mail to go! I've had to send it as "other" problem and wrote in description the problem and that I want a refund. hope this will suffice! Ordered another one straight away as by the time Zavvi respond, it may be sold out!!!! Not Happy!!! That's the 4th one of my Disney steels to have to go back.

Received this today and unfortunately my luck run out as there was a massive dent on the side. I'm returning it with a ****** message about there rubbish packing.

Do you have a web cam?

Though I wonder wht the Distance Selling Regulations say about you supplying poof about damage.

The question is do you want a full refund or a partial one? Under the DSR's I believe you have a 14 day cooling off period whereby you can simply return the goods (though you'll probably have to pay postage as it's not a case of a damged return). It should work though it might not work. Simply write to them and inform that you are excersing you're rights under the DSR's to return you're item within the 14 day cololing off period.

Rubbish - tell them in future you can't upload a photo and be firm with them!

I've done it and it works - don't be messed around with them.

I received my first zavvi steels today in the new packaging ... and that means all the way to the U-S-A .... I thought mine might have some damage but both steels were perfect.

I was told they had put the new packaging to the test ... so I would like to think that if it survived that journey then it may be no diff then the white boxes. I mean nothing will ever be as good as the white boxes Play used back in the day. Loved those. But I guess the question is if it were slammed down in the white box vs. this brown sleeve would it really matter? Would one dent and not the other? idk ... I think it all just depends on mail carriers at this point cause I had damages in white boxes before too.

In the end if the white boxes are superior then their damage/return rates will increase. I do for a fact know they are monitoring that. fyi

now back on topic ... this is an AMAZING steelbook. Loving the green and loving that Zavvi Disney have got it 100% right including the paper 1/4 slip. Keep it up!
