U.K. Is only one with spine title out of those you mentioned so in this case not the same. And I think all zavvi marvel/ Star Wars/ Disney etc going forward will also have spine titles

Prob also why it's going for silly money on the secondary market.
This will no doubt come back after release but maybe not for long like strange

Also cancelled in favour of blufans and hoping it has much much better art

I really wish Disney were a little more consistent with their marvel releases. Now I have a mixture of titleless steels, pet slips and now the titled spines.

The lenti release will no doubt come later in the year as well.

I do agree, should of been from the start

But as a fan of the Korean PET slips I don't mind them in my collection for the spine titles and the majority adding to the art (and they are the ones that have covered my pic spines) and I now have at least 2 of each film with at least a spine title on every release naturally but it's thanks to PETs I don't have terrible pic spines

But yeah pic spines was a bad idea from the start and that goes for all their ventures (Pixar, live action etc)

Of course, I reakon civil war and strange lentis will be around June

When it comes to Disney releases I'm torn between the ones Blufans does and the Zavvi lenticular line

It's nice that we're seeing rereleases of older titles unlikely to get the Blufans (or Kimchi or Nova or whoever) treatment like Beauty and the Beast and Tron: Legacy. Since we all can expect lenticular releases of Rogue One, Strange, Civil War, etc, I might wait until the dust settles (though waiting is difficult) to see which ones I like as I really don't like to double dip. The temptation to complete the lenticular line is strong but it's insane...it's gotta be near 100 titles when it's all done and it might never be if they go back and do Zootopia, The Jungle Book, and all future titles

I go full overkill on my Marvel/Disney collection. If there's a PET Slip I'll get that and if there's a @zesty Lenti slip I'll get that too. Complete package and slightly unnecessary but it's how I roll

As of last Sunday, this Steelbook is easily worth £45. Appreciate those who cancelled their pre-orders as it kind of proves they don't care about the value (fair play) but those who care about value but cancelled in anger must be kicking themselves. I missed to pre-order this and waiting for this to come back in stock.

I simply forgot to pre-order. Normally I pre-order Steels of popular Steels irrespective of value. Heck I even pre-ordered Source code stickerbook I think lol.

That will see the UK version back on sale at much less. Reason it was going for so much, was the fact it might be the the only version. The US version will see this drop in value now. A drop even more when Blufans comes out, and even bigger drop if Nova/Kimchi use the same steel, which is nice for those that missed and want this as it will be much nearer cost if Zavvi don't have many cancellations back in stock.

Very nice, in-hand images of the Best Buy found on another site, and would obviously be great if the Zavvi is the same with de-bossed title . . .
Will have to wait a week or so to know one way or the other.

Looks like yet another Zero finish steelbook with the front surely looking a bit monochrome when compared to the OP image but definitely shaping into a smart and cool steelbook (IMO).

That had me baffled too... they've been doing it with FuturePaks for ages though, so I don't see why they couldn't with SteelBooks. Maybe it was just a silly rule they had to be different rather than it being impossible to do...?

There have been a few instances of recent steelbooks with embossed detail, but no frame, e.g., the UK Zavvi exclusive releases: Gang Related (embossed title, names of the actors, DOJ emblem), Ghoulies I & II (toilet seat and the ghoulies artwork).

I guess Scanavo have updated their manufacturing processes

I found the pic online. I think it was the French edition. Which will be the same as Zavvis only without the title on the spine.

It has a debossed border a rectangle frame you can see it's debossed and raised for embossing to be done within the border

A border can be debossed circle or rectangle border and can then be embossed within that border

You can do embossing in small areas within a small border
Not every steelbook has to have a full border frame around the steelbook

I simply don't understand why Disney would put a title on the front but not on the spine. A bunch of folks at Disney needs to be sent to the GP for a specialised mental health check.
