One sold on ebay recently in the usa for nearly £80 plus shipping. Seller only sold this in the states, no international bidding. I tried to bid but it wouldn't let me!

Stunning IP with MR makes an awesome pair. Only will go up in value IMHO untill the Studio releases Steelbook versions and even then will be still sort after.
If you are going to hunt MR and R&J, go for the version sealed in the protective hard pastic case! My option though!

It's a very nice looking one indeed, but it's too expensive, especially for an Iron Pack.

I'd rather focus on Star Trek and the other missing steels in my collection.

I'll get it eventually :)

Just out of curiosity, why would you rather have Star Trek than this IronPack of Romeo+Juliet? Júst because it's a Steelbook and this one isn't? Because I personally find the Star Trek Steelbook artwork (first release, not the recent Amazon.de one) hideous and this artwork amazing, despite the ugly IronPack spine. Or are you a Trekkie?

I agree, I rather have this than the Star Trek SB and I enjoyed both of the movies. It's all a matter of personal preference. I think the R&J has a lovely design and no other countries have made another version. I do like the ST one but having already seen this in my hands and returned as it was damaged, it did not entirely meet my expectations for the value it is selling at. In regards to the IP I like them :) It may not be named as a SB but it still the same form of packaging and should not be disregarded just because it is an IP. The only slight downfall it doesn't go a long with all the other SB when you display them. But to be honest, I don't really notice at all. There is one R&J selling on ebay for over £150 plus shipping!

Haha - everyone in my group buy last year paid like $30.

Got to love that mark up! :hilarious:

I only got Romeo & Juliet from your group buy. Only if i knew that these were going to be so limited, I would have picked up Moulin Rouge. Just not my type of movie, which is why I passed.

I could have purchased more copies from my source, but I didn't have enough $$$. :(

Don't we wish we can go back in time and order 100 IM and all the RJ and MR. Then wait a few years later and sell them :) You be rich.

Do you have RJ and MR in your collection? Or shall I ask is there anything that as rare and expensive you dont have:hilarious:

Yeah, I'm not interested in the resale game to that extreme. Because if you have too many of them, people start to wonder if they really are that rare and they don't want to pay much for them....just a mess.

Yes, I have both of them in my collection.

I've probably sourced just about everything I really wanted to get - in terms of a metal collectible - but it's not been as expensive for me as some others since I've been in the game since Iron Man came out. Or thereabouts. ;)

You could have easily kept the copies you could afford to order for yourself at that time. You didn't though, and you helped out the community by getting these for us instead. That is why you :scat:

The newcomers like myself will find this to began with very expensive to get get the rare OOP ones. You gotta get them when they are first released :) In a few years time if I am still in this hobby, there will always be new people that will join and be after the SB which are OOP that I may have. And the game of SB hunting continues, new members join, more SB will become OOP. Unless there are many re-releases which Germnay are doing but I don't think it will hurt the original SB's value.

Thanks D!

I just go by this rule - there will be a point in this hobby when I need someone else to help me find something - maybe it's something that sells out, or I forgot to order or whatever.

So if I'm able to do a group buy and help folks out - I know that in the future, somebody here will have my back.

If you build up a lot of good trading karma, it does come back around. :scat:

And happy turkey day to my US friends. :)

I'm not a Trekkie nope. But if I had to choose between watching Star Trek and this flick, I'd chose Star Trek.

And yes you are right, the artwork in this one is superior to the FS/Play.com steelbook, but the movie is way better.

Didn't you tell me before that you are collecting all the rare SB you can find, regardless if you have seen the movie or not? Or is it that RJ is an IP and you don't collect IP's? Not having a pop at you or anything, I am just curious to your goals in collecting as everyone has their reasons :)

I don't think ST is harder to find than RJ. RJ there were a very limited copies made and only seen this on ebay a few times, where as ST you can normally find a sealed one going round and used ones everywhere.

That's true as well, and Star Trek is harder to find than this one as well :)

And wellll... SB > IP :p
