if you miss out on the Best Buy one, for whatever reason, there is always the UK one - it won't cost you too much more. Just saying in case you want to avoid the eventual e-bay prices.

same steel, disc is region free, so no worries & no hassle, IMO.

ya i completely forgot about Sherlock Holmes
might have to just pre-order it for $30-40
then when you pick it up in-store get a price adjustment

If you pre-order for in store pick up. When you actually pick up the steel at the store, you get charged the lower price. It will show on the receipt at the time of pick up. They charge the original price then credit the difference like 5 days later.

I must have missed the bomb-shell announcement that this would be a G1, so when i walked in to Best Buy and saw the Steel was a G1... I cried... then I left.

Problem with that is can you trust them to set aside the right copy for you as I have zero trust in my Best Buy after months of debacles.

i dont know then it shouldnt be that hard but some employees are very dumb

I pre-ordered Safe House online, and when I arrived today to pick it up, someone had picked out the regular blu ray combo pack and put it on hold instead of the steelbook. Fortunately, I live in an area where there are very few who even know what a steelbook is, so every one of the copies of the steelbook this store received were still on the shelf. The associate simply walked over and switched them out. I was thankful she even knew what a steelbook was so that it didn't require the 10-minute explanation it normally takes.

This has happened to me a couple of times. With the exception of Underworld, the SKU is usually different - and I show them that and they fix it pretty quick.

dang that sucks. the Best Buy i go to always sells out of these type of things quick, i would be so mad if that happened to me. luckily for you they still had them in stock. the only exclusive thing at my BB that didnt sell out in the first minute was the Ghost Rider steelbooks they STILL have like 20 sitting on the shelf

Yes, I am very fortunate that steelbooks aren't popular around here. And as far as the Warner Brothers Best Buy exclusives go, it must just be one other person and myself buying those based on the amount of stock they still have on display.

The Bestbuy I went to had about 8 copies but a lot of them had a weird silver mark on the spine between Safe and House. I almost didn't notice it when I was in the checkout line. Had to go back and find another one without the mark. Most of the copies there had them. Anyone else see this when they picked up their copies?

Didn't really matter if it was G1, had mine shipped and came today. So far all the steels I've ordered are coming in perfect mint condition.

Picked this up today even though I have the UK G2 coming. Was gonna get the amaray just cause I wanted to see the movie. But figured what the hell, the steelbook was only 3$ more than the amaray. So now I will have both and will keep my G2 sealed.:D

You just need to increase your G1 collection, I own 67 G1 steelbooks and 36 G2's :D

thats cool that you love your G1's, But I hate mine. I only have 8 left. I bought Fast Five and Reardon Steel and have not watched either one, because I forgot all about them being segregated by themselves. They just remind me too much of of DVD's.
