Ordered.

Its not the best looking steel, but I have been meaning to upgrade my Saw collection to Blu Ray and I tend to buy new horrors in the run up to Halloween so meh, it'll do.

Just as I said before Zavvi, do NOT pull a Disney and decide to make steels of the other films for release on the same day as this one. That would be insanely silly to expect that of us....

I hate having a steelbook for only 1 film of a franchise and not for the others so I'll be passing on this.....As for the artwork, personally I'd like to have seen the doll somewhere on there..
I'm actually fine with it. I consider the original completely separate from the rest if the films. The rest of the movies devovled into torture porn and 'running with' an iconography (stupid puppet), and stupid catchphrase ("want to play a game?"). It basically devolved into a horror franchise- when the original stands alone as an excellent THRILLER, and nothing like the torture porn sequels that followed.

That's fair enough, I thought the first film was good and I quite liked the stupid puppet in the first film, as for the steelbook, we'll wait and see....

I completely blanked the fact that the back is a Garden Saw....not a Bone saw Gordon uses in the film

Yup...glad I didn't buy it now.

See

Just the first one? How pointless is that! They should do the same as they did with the Fast & Furious releases - release them all at £12.99 so we can have a full set

I'm sure they will though I don't know if the spines will be numbered 1 - 7 in the same way and it looks like the pricing will be different, based on this one.
Wonder which body parts they'll put on the other six though . . .

Who came up with the idea of putting a hand on the front?

There is not one severed hand anywhere in this movie.

Shockingly bad. Just lazy.

Which would mirror this excuse for a film perfectly. 103 minutes of gratuitious nastiness just for the sake of it.

If the majority of people who watch and 'enjoy' this had experienced and absorbed some of the actual real horrors this world throws up for just one nanosecond, then this movie would never get made.

And that's not an opinion, that is cast iron racing certainty!

Chill out - it's just a film for crying out loud.
I'm sure many of us have experienced cancer and death in the family and any number of other horrors but that's no reason for films of this type not to be made or to be appreciated.
If you don't like this type of stuff then don't buy it but there is no relation between films like this and the horrors of real life.

I was wondering if we can get some 75% off vouchers for some of the crap that Zavvi are churning out at the moment, why don't they just take a step back, slow down on the amount of movies they are releasing, listen to fans and concentrate by putting a bit more effort into their releases :stop:

Film Posters are only artwork to promote a film and the same applies to a DVD and Blu-ray
Very often the image used on artwork is not an actual scene in the film

If you look back at most film posters and Blu-ray and DVD artwork you will find often the artwork used you wont see that image in the film
Most film posters are only creative artwork to get your attention and that also applies to DVD and Blu-ray Artwork

Look back in your collection of DVD and Blu-ray's you will find lots of images that were not in the film itself

The artwork used for the Saw Steelbook is from the original cinema poster image

Er.....yes it is o_O

The severed hand most definitely isn't in Saw though. If you still like the Saw steelbook then you go for it bud, I'll pass though thanks ;)
That Jaws image on Film Posters and DVD and Blu-ray is not a image of a film scene you don't see that scene image in the film
When she is swimming you don't even see the great white shark its left to your imagination that the shark is under her

Okay- grab a still of that shot and show it to me.;)
(Again- a lot of movie poster art is representative and not literal).

Of course it does if you want the cover to make sense and be relevant to the film!!! It just looks ridiculous to anyone that's actually watched the film. They could have just used the foot that was on the same poster - even if they had to move the bloody part out of view if it was deemed to explicit.
Then you should be hating T2 Mondo as well. [emoji6]

Also I hope people wouldn't argue that Avengers front artwork isn't seen in the film. [emoji1]

A lot of people including me enjoy this film. And for you to assume no one knows or has been affecred by the horrors of the world but you, just shows you assume everyone who enjoys this film is a dribbling moron. This is a HORROR FILM, they're for it has to be HORIFIC!!!
