I managed to secure this with the help of apsmith as i didn't pick it up first time, and am glad i did despite the fact i could have waited until now and got it on ebay for half the price, would rather give double the money to HDN rather than half on ebay :)
Plus it shows there is a market for #2 :D

I can't believe the GB is actually still open EEK!

Just out of interest was Blufans Real Steel instantly valuable or did it take a while for the market to cotton on after further BF releases? I still think the same will happen with this

Not sure about Real Steel, but usually films take time to rise in value, sometimes years, i mean the Play.com Star Trek was not a bad price for ages, i remember turning down picking it up on ebay for around £30, and to get a sealed one now sets you back a little more than that ;)

I personally think the reason this is around £20 on ebay is because quite frankly HDN is not as publicly known as Zavvi or Play.com, and the reason Blufans releases are worth what they are is because they are now established outside their forum simply due to releasing more and more. Plus the addition of people settling for the Zavvi version because its cheaper, i think as soon as that sells out this will begin to rise a little, and maybe keep going. :)

Tbh i don't care what the going price for this is, it only matters what it is worth to the collector. I know that to me this is worth more than most of the steels in my collection, and some of them are are worth much more on ebay, however that doesn't bother me. it sounds stupid but Green zone was my first blu ray steelbook, and on ebay it fetches next to nothing, however to me it is worth my entire collection as i know that the only reason i am in to blu ray steelbook collecting is because of purchasing that.

Oh, my first Blu-ray steelbook is also Green Zone (FR edition), August 26, 2010 if I remember correctly :).

I didn't get into the steelbook fever right after that purchase, I bought only 5 steelbooks in the next 20 months : French steelbooks of Inglorious Basterds, Jackie Brown (extremely glossy !), Valkyrie, Inception (as part of the FNAC Dream machine, very rare) and The Expendables.

The addiction started to kick in around June 2012 with the purchase of the French editions of Scarface, Gladiator, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and amazon.fr exclusives such as Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, Chronicle and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

But I think the one that triggered that wave of steelbook purchases was Drive (FR too). Having loved that film so much, I wanted to buy the best possible version and then when it was out of stock on amazon.fr, I knew that the second it'd come back, I'd order it.

It did come back, and thus I ordered a slew of others alongside, and hence the addiction, that developed immensely in May 2013 when I found out about The Hut, and then about Zavvi, and in July 2013 when I found out about HDN :scat:.

Sorry about that long anecdote, that was my origin story .

I have the regular Zavvi version of 7 Psychopaths - bought it in early June, before I knew about HDN, but otherwise I'd have supported HDN by buying this one. I'll get #2 ! The crackle effect here looks magnificent, I wonder why I haven't seen it anywhere else, if any studio would produce one it'd be sold out quite rapidly.

There were a few 'crackles' released like the German 'Kampf Der Titanen'...film was meh, but the Steel was pretty cool as far as effect. Our crackle edition for the HDN package has lots of love in though, I know the creator had fun making them ;)
