Blufans we paid via a GB so it was not direct, same as FAC. That's totally different as we cannot complain to a GB host if it's delayed. They are not the retailer.

With FAC you can order direct but not 3 months payment in advance.

I've been critical over Blufans in the past that's why I've limited my participation in GBs with them.
You order from FA site direct they take the money up front. I paid for a copy of the revenant boxset and waited 8 months i think to get that in hand after payment. All the Asian sites take the money up front as well. There is no difference really

I ordered direct from FA but I've been fortunate with my orders. The issue isn't taking the money upfront, it's the duration of taking the money upfront and then delays etc. Zeta, Nova, Kimchi etc taken my money upfront then one month later or even less dispatched. Until I encounter experience of long delays, and regular delays etc then I will consider if I should be purchasing from them again. If you are not happy with the service why keep supporting them?

Asian sites take your money from 3-6 weeks before delivery

Sometimes less and sometimes a little more with the odd delay like manta but it's usually the average of a month (not 5 months in this case - by the time it's released - I paid on 6th of Jan I think)

I know FAC dredd had a horrible delay and if I ordered that I would of been hugely kicking off.
Not my problem some members don't like to speak up.

I personally don't order FAC direct either so that don't apply to me > that's the customers risk whoever order.

If I ordered and paid and it was delayed for 3 months damn right I be asking my money back. That is complete BS in my opinion to delay that long. It's not a collectible statue from sideshow where some pieces are upto $2,000 which I think it is more appropriate for longer delays to get it right.

Even when I ordered statues of $2,000 and release date in one year I never paid upfront. I paid a 10% deposit and then the remaining on dispatch.

Oh I agree

I'm letting them off on this release as I've mentioned many times as its their first exclusive but I won't take it if it happens on every release

I have never been disappointed to the point where I wouldnt buy again. Its not like i have ever bought any of the premiums to open and watch the movie. I always have other copies or means to actually watch the movie. The premium releases have always been about the quality of the release and such.

If you feel you have been wronged with service with this release then that is fine, ask for refund from the vender and get the money back. I knew going in it would be 4 months of giving my money up and release from the beginning. So honestly the delays dont matter with me because we have seen the incredible pictures of final product. Even single premium outlet out there has had at least 1 release where I have paid 1-2 months before release because of delays.

I don't agree with the principle of money upfront.

I just about tolerate it for the Asian releases as the delay is 2-4 weeks.

The longer the delay the more intolerant I become.

The fact that we get a great product at the end is a GIVEN.
It shouldn't be an excuse for repeated delays.

A lot of us open and watch these premium releases and I see little point in encouraging any delay when someone is in possession of my money.

If we are unhappy about this situation we should be vocal about it and not just ask for a refund.

I have given my feedback, so let's leave it as that.

@EverythingBlu - any chance - after you've sold all your packages - that you'll make the steelbook available to purchase by itself ?
Same question applies to the individual MUMMY steelbooks.

No biggie if it's a "No".
Was just wondering if it's (a), (b) or (c)
a)
b)
c)

Hello,

First off, love the way you setup this comment hah you may of noticed EverythingBlu loves a Gif or 2.

Nothing is confirmed right now but it is very, very, very unlikely. We have taken on board those wanting just the steelbook releases and although the cornetto trilogy would have the same setup as shaun, other releases we are looking at having the SteelBook made available on it's own.

Thanks

Received the following email from @EverythingBlu...

Blu Box Change of Numbering Card Material

"Hello everyone,

We've continued to try and create the best possible product for our first release. This has resulted in the some changes along the way. The very last change we have had to make is that the umbering card for the Blu Box edition has changed material and now is made from PVC rather than the original metal. This is down to the print application not being up to the standard we wish to put out. We apologise for the late change but we didn't want to drop the metal card so easily and have experimented with a number of applications but unfortunately none were to our satisfaction. The card will now be PVC with embossed text/numbering for a much cleaner print.

On another note, keep an eye on our social media accounts for an update on the Zombie Lottery, with 25 signed cards by the Wilson Bros (Zombie Twins) which we will place randomly into 25 copies PER edition.

Also, news is coming in the next few days about The Mummy release for those who are interested.

Thanks again for your continued support!
Release Date (Shaun of The Dead): 19th May 2017"

I honestly either didnt know it was going to be metal or forgot. This change isnt a big one to me, just want good quality and it sound like the normal PVC type will be fine for that.
