Yeah next time I'll order on the final month before its out.

Said it many of times that I don't mind on this release as its their first but was thinking the other day and it's been a very very long time. Too long.

If there's a final delay of a week or longer then I'll wait for when their steels are released until I purchase. Their reputation is being tarnished on this release IMO

Shipping is not for the 19th May. It is from the 19th May. By the time this actually arrives I think we are probably gonna get these in June!

Those couple of days Inbetween for Shipping are ok with me, that's standard shipping but if they do actually ship by or on the 19th then I'll have this before June.

But it depends on if they stick to schedule. So going by my previous post they have until 25th of May to actually ship it and any longer I won't be purchasing on pre order anymore. I'll pay when their other releases are out

On the 6th June it will be extactly 6 months from when I paid. Pretty sure my PayPal rights will be up by then too

Given the recent news on the logisticial changes of content after original postage dates, I think you're right about being patient and hoping postage/notifications is prior to the 25th of May. This leads right up to another bank holiday on the 29th too. So any slippage in dispatch now running over the long weekend can be quite damning on future sales opportunities IMO.

Keep seeing the delay's for this due to product not being right or a problem with materials i get they don't want to send out a sub par product , but technically this is not there first release killer klowns from outer space was , so considering these factors they should understand what is involved in the whole process , so my conclusion is may be they should of not brought this out for pre-order in till they had all the details sorted out imo

I can understand people being a bit upset but it really hasn't been that bad, Blufans had been doing this for years and they still have major problems way down the line and money was taken in advance (see Iron Man).

This is their first attempt and I wouldn't expect them to tell us every little problem that they have and so far their communications with us has been really good.
I (personally) can't get upset at them for taking the money ages ago and then having delays, it's not like they are doing it on purpose.

I would only get really concerned if the same problems occur on their second release.

I really hope that they pull off a great product as there are no retailers like this in the U.K. & I love the idea of cheap shipping costs for once ;)

I understand the want to get out a "perfect" product but all these delays are just crazy. Now they're changing aspects of the package so late in the game AND after all the blu boxes have already sold and have got all the money for them.

What will be interesting is the quality control of the products after they do ship, if people start receiving scratched lentis, poorly printed fullslips and chipped steelbooks after all these delays then EverythingBlu's already tarnished credibility is going to be hard to come back from

Just as long as EverythingBlu is not EverythingBankrupt I am willing to cut them more slack. Try putting yourselves in their shoes for a moment. Try to squeeze out a little more understanding from your beings. Just like when I think I can't squeeze any more toothpaste out of the tube and then find I'm able to squeeze out a little more after all.

The guys are too modest and forgot to add this pic to their text (post #1313) . . .

Quote
" As someone who has held the finished product in their very pinkies, I can say that as much as another delay sucks, it really is worth holding on just that little bit longer! The work which has gone into it is stunning, and it certainly looks like the quality control at EverythingBlu is such that they only want the very best release roll off the production line.

I was signing 75 of the cards which go inside selected copies during the week, and - no - I am not getting paid for all this! It really is a labour of love from these guys."

After the recent contretemps - release date delays and change of material of the cards - it wouldn't be a bad thing for EB to get ALL the cards signed . . . as a kind gesture.

Going back to the point i made earlier, are we at a point where it's considered "normal" for this sort of thing to happen? If so, isnt it our fault for allowing this to happen?

This is not their first attempt. This is their first "exclusive" release; but second attempt.
I agree on the communication part.

You paid via a GB Host. Not direct to the retailer. That is different. A GB host is always going to ask the money upfront but they can't control the delay in the release.

agreed. i can totally appreciate people being annoyed about this, but i have ordered loads of things that were delayed for ages. my Mondo Iron Giant deluxe figure was a serious outlay for me, and yet i think took over a year from payment to arrival - and Mondo have had a long time to get things sorted with their 3rd party suppliers and method. they gave regular updates, which were appreciated, changed the product a number of times from what i originally ordered, and i eventually got an amazing product that was worth the wait. everyone seemed to be ok with their approach, and i don't see any different here.

this is a much-loved film and i get that some people have had their enthusiasm abruptly halted with the delays, a bit like this:

i reckon you can summarise much of the last few pages with this:

but i go by a simple rule for advance orders, which make up a lot of my purchases due to what i buy: everyone gets one chance, and for me it all comes down to the final product. when it's in hand, i'll judge the company. before that, delays happen, often beyond companies' control when they get back something that was not what they asked for from a supplier. this is particularly true if what they are doing is something they have less experience with, and often when it's companies being run for love rather than profit. if it's too much for you, that's entirely fair enough - just ask for your money back. i hope everyone is either happy with their refunds, or the final product. me, i'm waiting for that blubox! :)

I don't see why the metal cards couldn't have worked, HDN had metal cards made and they look awesome. I feel kinda cheated now as I was really looking forwards to having a metal numbered card. This change is only two weeks away from release too, are we to expect another push in the release date too because of this change so close to release? I'm a little concerned about my order now.

I anticipated this and a few other things and decided to sit this one out until the actual product is released.

Not taking a dig at the retailer but since they're yet to prove themselves, I didn't see the need to hurry and order something that may very well still be in stock after the initial projected release date. Case in point, FS and Lenti are still there.

All the best to you EB, I'm sure you've taken quite a few lessons from this first exclusive announcement.

Going back to the point i made earlier, are we at a point where it's considered "normal" for this sort of thing to happen? If so, isnt it our fault for allowing this to happen?

It shouldn't be considered normal but it has become the new norm for a couple of years now. And yes the very forgiving fanboys/fangirls of X and Y retailer play a part in it. But let's not forget there are many moving parts behind the scenes, many that are out of a retailer's control etc... so
