A new thread to let your hair down and show off your prized possessions you've collected over the years in Limited Edition Blu-Ray or DVD Sets-all collectors welcomed-'value' /'rarity' and 'meaning' are as individual as the collector of course. So if you love it, post it, regardless if your collection is big or small. Have a very expensive Limited Edition, or Rare Edition? Post a pic and let show your pride in your collection.

A few houserules to keep this fun and drama free:

This is primarily for Non-Steelbooks. Please do not post pictures with multiple copies of Limited editions of the same item to trade bait (Please see Trade Forum to buy/sell with members and for forum rules).

Out of respect to our members still searching for these at reasonable prices, this type of multi-qty pic causes unnecessary ranting and raving and can cause members to fall out. Unlike some other forums ours is moderated and run by actual collectors and movie fans. HDN works hard behind the scenes to create a friendly community of all types of movie enthusiasts. Those posts will be deleted-this is a fun 'show off' thread for your own personal collection.

Thanks-lets see what cha got! :scat:

I understand, its just so hard to not double or triple dip when they keep bringing out so many amazing sets of the same movies out though!!! Is that the bear trap set youre talking about? I dont know anyone who has it, thats been one of the top sets on my wishlist, I doubt I'll ever get it though! Perhaps someone on you tube has uploaded a review, im sure there would be a video on there about it.

Yes That's the one, it is also on my list so I'll go with that before forcing the triple dip.

The quality looks really good, so this will definitely be my next one..... Maybe after the holidays or at least after I'm done with all my Xmas shopping.

Is this the saw trap set that came out a few years back, i own that one got it when i lived in uk got it from Europe somewhere cant remember was expensive then. But great one to have.

Im sure it was a bit more than that o would need to look back on old emails or something to confirm, thats if i still have that email.
Really? I'm pretty sure it wasn't much more then that unless that store you got it in had a high price on it. The cheapest I've ever seen it for (I was stupid I didn't buy it) was 179 Eur. I know that was higher then retail because that was a 3rd party selling it new.

Not the best pics the collector ones on tables are stacked up 4 to 5 high, stuff in the back there you dont even see.
I have many blu ray/dvd boxes stored away also with boxsets and steelbooks and other blu rays.
I started off just with just blu rays, then had a craze for ones with slipcases, which was a big thing in uk not sure if still is and really liked lenticular slipcases.
Then i got into steelbooks where i did enjoy that but a few retailers closed up making it a little harder to get.
But zavvi started doing them to the point they nearly too every movie out in steelbook.
So just collecting them because it was costing too much.
Then i started buying collectible blu rays, gift sets, exclusive and limited editions.
Im finding its getting out of hand now on the limited edition ones just keep buying.
Next to my tables lying on bed where you might a couple of boxes are my elder wand signed blu set and hogwarts castle arrived today.
Still to come braveheart gift set (being scottish should have got this from day one)
Spartacus limited edition on way,300 statue collectors edition on way, and alien egg and texas chainsaw massacre ordered just yestetday.
Postman going to love me lol.
Recent buys where also watchmen night owl. I could go on.
I came to australia 2013 and not really purchased any normal blu rays since like ones you see in units.

I be glad when i have these on display properly.
Im into other collections and but by far my most expensive and biggest collectoion was my movie/celeb statues. I post a pic of one to show what that was.
Anyway sorry for the mess and bad pics.

And an old hobby i had for over 10 yrs sold a load if these before my move to australia but still have a few left in boxes stuck away, i was probably one of the biggest collectors in the world with these statues.
My blu ray collection has a bit of catching up.

I know started them back in uk with wife buying me a couple of blu rays and player, bet she wished she had not now. I then shipped them over to australia and now taking advantage of the no gst etc, where as uk was like duty and vat over £15 from outside eu.

I have forgotten whats behind all that stuff.
I need to pay a visit to ikea soon for some stuff to show this off.
