SithLord84's Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

Hello and welcome to my Star Wars themed mancave. As you can see I am a huge fan of both Star Wars Trilogies. The statues you see here are from Sideshow Collectibles' Premium Format line. The collection itself is still very much a collection in progress, I couldn't tell you when I'll be finished but I do know that I am not done yet and I still have more statues on the way and I also have more posters/prints that will be added once they are framed.

The cabinets you see here are from Ikea, but all the parts are sold separately. The units themselves are called Besta, the doors are called Sindvik, and the interior lights are called Stotta.

In addition to the Star Wars collection the room features a Samsung 46" 3D LED TV, a Samsung HT-E5400 3D Home Theater System, as well as a Sony PS3 and a PS4.

Oh no! That sucks big time. Could you call to cancel?

It's crazy that another site is showing Sideshow up with better sales on their own product during spook week. Sideshow's discounts have all been extremely disappointing. I was hoping for a good deal on the Medicom Kick-Ass figure. It is 25% off on Sideshow right now which brings it down to around $169...it's regular price on BBTS is $172 so I figured there was no incentive to order it right now.

I probably could but it looks like the additional 20% off was just cancelled. I'm thinking this could have been an error on Popcultcha's website from the start. Hope they let everyone keep their orders. I could still save about $40 on him, but I'm not gonna bother going through the hassle of trying to get them to cancel. I always get really nervous about ordering stuff from overseas from places like Popcultcha anyways just cause its such a pain in the ass and paper work trying to fix things if something goes wrong.

I was pretty disappointed with SS's Spook savings too. I don't really know what I was looking for to go on sale, but I was hoping I'd see a sale that really enticed me to order it and it didn't happen. I guess there was a part of me that was hoping the TDK Armory was going to go for a massive sale but that didn't happen. I think SS learned from last year and didn't over-order the ammount of products so they didn't have to have the massive discounts like last year. I actually just got a text message on my phone about RoboCop LOL.

That Kick-Ass fig sure isn't that great of a deal either. SS really must not be hurting for sales like last year.

Yeah I saw they took down the sale, I hope they let me keep my order! Over on the freaks board people were placing orders for $600-1,000! Should be interesting to see what happens.

I think a lot of people were hoping for a discount on TDK Armory. I want that HT Optimus Prime figure too, but no way I'm paying $350! They are offering triple rewards on it, but no discount.

I've seen that a lot this year, they are really emphasizing the rewards points on the stuff, but not much money off. I guess its more profitable for them to make sure to get the customer coming back later and using the discount they would have gotten on the first item put on the second item instead.

I hope they let you keep your order the way it is. I saw some people dropping insane amounts of unplanned money! I hope that didn't put them out of business LOL

Yeah I hope so too. I'd like to have a few HT Arnold figures and that one is a must have. Will also need to track down a T2 figure eventually since that's one of my favorite movies. Hopefully Hot Toys revisits Dutch from Predator as well!

I guess that makes sense from a business point of view for Sideshow, but from what I've been reading it seems like a lot of people bought multiple items last year and nothing this year because there were no deals.

I just checked and my Wolvie figure just shipped an hour ago and is going to be here Wednesday. Its definitely too late to cancel now LOL!

I'm excited to see him, definitely post pictures when he arrives. I want a Wolverine eventually, but I'm waiting to see what outfits he has in the next few movies. Of course HT might quit making them...

I gotta say that John Matrix figure's detail is insane! I think thats possibly their best Arnold sculpt to date. I really hope that deal goes through for you! I want to track down the T2 Arnold too eventually. And probably both versions. That battle damaged one's details are amazing. I'm really impress with the super battle damaged head on my T1 Arnie. The details and paint app are unlike anything I've ever seen. Have you checked out what the Dutch HT sells for on eBay? That thing is going for freaking PF prices!

I'm seeing the same thing too. People are sure banking the RP's but they aren't ordering anything from SS. I'm still going to stay up a couple of hours tonight in case they drop another point code :D.

I've gotta say I'm not so sure how much I do or don't like the DOFP outfit, but I can say that DOFP is currently my favorite Marvel movie of all-time. I liked it even better than the Avengers and that says a lot because that movie was amazing! I'm not so upset anymore about the price compared to what the Popcultcha sale is supposed to be at 20%. If it was priced that way I would have only saved 20 some bucks on it after the shipping and conversion fee. I'm still really hoping they don't can all of the orders that went through though. I want to see pics of Matrix if you get him! :) I've gotta go watch Commando again. I haven't seen that movie in over a decade.

Yeah they only did Batman from Returns so far. The people on the forums seem to think thats the only character they will make too. I can't even tell you how badly I wish I would have ordered the HT Nicholson Joker. I figured SS was going to crank out a Nicholson PF to go along with Batman a couple months after he went up for order but it never happened. :( I can guarantee you though if SS never makes him in PF form I will track down a Nicholson Joker HT one day. He's my all-time favorite version of the character, and there is no way I won't have a nice high end collectible of him.

Good call on cancelling the Spacetrooper. Thats a super obscure character, and I think $200 is a lot of money to drop on something thats basically just a variant IMO.

They look so good! I have to admit I think HT did a better job with making sure the characters are in proper scale with each other than SS did with the PFs. I think the old Vader PF should be a bit taller than it is.

They haven't showed Max Von Sydow's character anywhere either. I'm loving that so much of this movie is a mystery and I can't really assemble the entire plot from the trailers. I wish more movies would start doing this marketing strategy.

Yeah, I wonder what his character is all about. As for Snoke, it's intriguing because it seems Disney is doing away with the whole Sith thing, and moving in a different direction for bad guys (Inquisitors, Knights of Ren). Not to mention what Han said in the trailer, "The Dark Side. The Jedi. They're real." Not "The Sith." While "Sith" is still Canon, doesn't seem like they are using it in the new movies post ROTJ.

That's disappointing. Both Catwoman and Penguin from Batman Returns would be pretty awesome. I can't believe you put your hopes in SS making a PF, ha ha.

You have a better chance at winning the lottery, getting hit by lighting, and banging the hottest woman on the planet in the same day.

I just checked and my Wolvie figure just shipped an hour ago and is going to be here Wednesday. Its definitely too late to cancel now LOL!

Nice! I need to watch that movie again. Been a while.

You're definitely right there. The Sith seemed to have truly died off after Vader and Palps.

LMAO! I know there has to be something wrong with me for thinking SS will actually deliver on a SW PF. I mean what year do I think think this is, 2010? LOL.

That's why I'm hoping they make another Dutch! Their sculpting has gotten better since that one came out.

DoFP is your favorite Marvel movie? That's surprising to me, I guess I'm not really a big X-Men fan. I really enjoyed X2 (probably because it was the first Marvel movie I saw in theaters and it's mostly about Wolverine). I didn't really like DoFP all that much. My top four are easily Guardians of the Galaxy, CA: Winter Soldier, Iron Man, and The Avengers.

LMAO! That's hilarious.

I haven't seen Commando in a while either. I remember the first time I watched it I asked my friend "Are we really supposed to believe overweight Freddy Mercury poses a challenge to Arnold?"

LMAO!!!! Thats freaking hilarious!

I think I'm going to go on an Arnold binge. So many 80s and 90s movies I haven't seen in forever. I gotta watch Twins again lol.

I'd say X-Men is my favorite group of Marvel characters, and probably Wolverine and Spider-Man would be tied as my overall favorite Marvel character. So I have always liked the X-Men movies from the start, even though a lot of fans complain that they are too Wolverine centered, that never bothered me as I really liked that. X2 was probably my favorite before this one. I wouldn't take anything away from Marvel Studios though. Avengers, Guardians and Winter Soldier were all phenomenal movies. I really can't wait for Civil War!

BTW, did you see the updated headsculpt pics of the HT Ant-Man? :OMG: It looks just like Paul Rudd.

There are so many good Arnold movies! T2, Commando, Conan the Barbarian, Predator, Total Recall, Running Man, True Lies, Kindergarten Cop, and I'm a big fan of Pumping Iron. I've actually never seen Twins which is odd because I've watched some obscure Arnold movies (Raw Deal, Red Heat, Stay Hungry, Hercules in New York - we needed alcohol to get through that last one).

Do you read X-Men comics? Spider-Man is probably my 2nd favorite Marvel character. I'm super pumped for Civil War! I wish DC was making movies that got me excited since I'm a DC guy, oh well.

I gotta say I've never attempted to watch Hercules in New York. But I can imagine I'd probably need alcohol too LOL.

I think I've only read a couple single issues back in the day. I really loved the 90's animated series though. Same with the animated Spider-Man and Batman series. It was so cool to be a kid in the 90's lol. I'm not super stoked for the DC movies either, but I am finally warming up to seeing B v S. Although I wish they were going in a different direction with these movies, instead of the overly serious tone, I guess we are going to be stuck with this type of DC movie for at least a decade. I'll try to enjoy them but I'm thinking I won't be enjoying them as much as Marvel's. Plus Marvel Studios has got Spidey coming in now :D.

Anyone dressing up tonight?

Not me. I'm probably just going to watch some horror movies, eat some candy, and hope SS puts out some more reward codes on this last day of Spook LOL.

Oh yeah I'm super excited for Spiderman to be in the Marvel Universe! I wonder when he'll make his first appearance? I've never seen any of those animated shows, I guess I was more of an 80s kid, I grew up on Transformers. By the way anybody who was around in the 80s should watch The Goldbergs, it's so funny and nostalgic.

I don't like the direction DC is taking either. I have no desire to see Suicide Squad at all. They are killing it on the CW though, Flash and Arrow are so good! Supergirl was kind of meh, but it's only been one episode so far.

I'm dressing up, I'll try to post a picture this weekend. Here's a quick picture I took right out of the box, loving these two:

Yell yeah! They look awesome dude! Congrats! I heard Chewie comes with a comb. Is that true?

Spidey is definitely showing up in Civil War. The actor actually fell on his face while filming his last scene. I don't think he hurt himself that badly though. They actually cast a teenager to play him this time, instead of casting a late 20's guy pretending to be a teenager. I think this dude is 19.

I used to watch Arrow but I gave up on it. I thought the action and tone were absolutely perfect, but it just seemed that less than every 10 minutes the show had to make sure it took the time to appease the CW's target audience which is 14 year old girls lol. I wish this show would have been on a network that wasn't so teen focused, like Netlfix so it could be even more violent like Daredevil. I can't wait for season 2 of that show. I'm actually really into Fox's Gotham. (Go figure, its based in the Batverse LMAO).

Still yes, but we are having a huge rain storm, so the odds of getting any trick or treaters is very slim.

Ya know I didn't look to see if there was a comb in there. I just pulled the hair loose that was matted to his chin to get rid of that dog muzzle look.

I know it's kind of cheesy, but I still love it. I mean comic books have there fair share of cheese in them so to me it just feels like I'm reading a new issue every week. I feel lucky we have all these comic shows to choose from now so I'm just enjoying them. I watched the entire series of Smallville, that had way more CW teen drama than these shows do.

AWESOME!

I remembered you told us about your costume right after I posted that. You'll have to take a picture. It must be the start of rainy season in Washington...or does that ever end? ;)

It does actually. It only started raining hard recently because Mother Nature new I bought a new bike, and she totally wanted to screw me over! ;)

Will post a pic up tonight if I dress up. As of now, there's flooding in the streets, and the rain doesn't look like it'll stop anytime soon, so slim chance that we'll do anything other than watch some scary flix.

Thats an interesting theory I never thought of. Inquisitors themselves aren't a completely new thing, they were also in the old canon books, as far back as 1987. (I didn't know the date I had to look it up. I'm not that much of a nerd LMAO!)

Its pretty rare for me to stick out a TV series beyond 3 seasons actually. I'll eventually just get a bit tired and move on to something else. Thats really what happened with Arrow. I think the only show I've truly watched every episode of so far is Seinfeld LOL!

So did you get some snow tires for your bike in the winter :D (joking)

We got some really crappy weather over here. It was rainy and cold. The rain luckily letup by the time the Trick or Treaters were out.

Well at least you chose a good show, Seinfeld is my favorite show of all time. I get completely invested in shows then get depressed when they end. Or angry when they are cancelled, ha.

Here's my costume, not the greatest pic but you get the idea.
