Can someone confirm if this is G1 or G2 size? I thought it was G2 but saw listings for DVD steelbook and wondered if there were infact two different sizes.

That's a point, how was the spine slashed when it came inside the slipcover? It must have been done before it was sealed.

Correct, done before the slip went on and sealed...I bought that copy a couple of years ago when I thought spine cuts were normal
