Still waiting for my copy to arrive, but now I see that it looks like the film won't play on a Region B PS3?
So basically the Blu-Ray in the packaging is of no use to me whatsoever?
Wow, that's really, really crap :(
I only bought because the description said it was Region Free
Guess that this is the one and only purchase I will be making from Kimichi

I don't have high expectations of Lenticular, so I'm keen to get the Lenticular copy too.

Just received my Full Slip today. It's fine but nothing exceptional. I think the Infernal Affairs' Full Slip is the one to beat.

I don't believe it ever said region free. I think it said region A and a lot of people thought it would be region free as Kimchi titles usually are. It is disappointing to find out you can't play it though.:(

I think Kimchi have a lot to answer for. They withheld information concerning the region code until after they were shipped. Choi implied before they were shipped, that it would be region free. It now turns out they are not.
I don't suppose it matters if you don't open them like me. We should have been told though, and not misled.
It looks like kimchi are going down the tube anyway, so I don't suppose I'll be ordering too many more from them.

It would be nice to know the region coding for obvious reasons but I'm not sure even Kimchi knew about it. I think it's all down to the publishers. The pre-orders are done way before disc specs are even finalized. I know this is disappointing for a lot of people, I myself can't play region locked trikes and would probably not pick something up if I knew it was going to be region locked.

Got both the full slip and lenti last week, only had the lenti for a day before it was shipped off as a trade but man it was nice! (but not nice enough to change my mind on trading of course! ;) ) Still got the full slip but it's going too, just not that blown over by it!

new hdn forum does not peoperly display spolier tag at this moment.

I'm asked by publusher not to mention region lock or not.

I can say anyone can play movie thru your own blu ray player.

That's what I can say..
Hey Choi,
Any chance you can share the source of this information as it seems you/the source has it wrong and has left quite a few people feeling disappointed.

I noticed since the reporting of this being region A locked you have been very quiet in responding to people's concerns.

Not good for customer relations!

The back of the full slip states that it's 'REGION ALL' and I had no trouble playing it on my region B 3D blu-ray player.... it even worked on my Mac Region B blu-ray re-writer drive... didn't have to change regions or anything... so not sure what's going on.

I know region locked discs suck...And i know that alot folks are upset about it...

(I wonder how many of the people complaining about these editions are actually going to open them ???)

The point is, Choi does a lot for the HDN community. More than most probably know. So cut the the guy some friggin slack.

I know that in Sparta, everyone, even the messenger is responsible for the words of his voice. But, this being region locked is NOT HIS FAULT. If you are really that pissed off, go write the publisher an email.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I thought Choi worked for Kimchi?
If so then I would expect the information he gives to be accurate, I don't think it should be so difficult to state before hand if a disc will be region free or not

I bought the Type A package so obviously dropped quite a lot of money on it.
Finding out afterwards that I won't be able to watch the actual film without a region free Blu-Ray player is clearly a big let down.
My point is if the correct information had been given, up front, then I would have passed on buying this.
