It seems there's a lot of hate for types a, b, & c. Not sure why, because I love them all. The Lenti is amazing, so is the full. The box set is gunna look really cool on my shelf when I get my display set up. And yes the j card has some wrinkles on A, but its GUESS WHAT? It's HUGE!

Big thanks to Kimchi!

I have a region B Panasonic player and I have successfully played this disc. As one of the other members said if you press Top Menu while disc is loading then it takes you to the disc menu and you can play it without any problems. If this was truly region locked to A then you would get a screen on your player saying that the region code of the disc does not match the region code of the player. This screen does not appear at any stage. This disc appears to have some issues LOADING in region B players due to some issues in the authoring process.

This disc is Region A locked, no doubt about it. The reason you managed to play it on a region B player is because some Panasonic models allow you to bypass the region lock on certain discs (most likely depending on how they're authored). The same thing happens with some select Criterion titles, where the lock can be bypassed by pressing top menu.

By the way, watched it this afternoon with subs on and in my eye the parts spoken in Korean are essential to the plot. Not sure why others think not.

Customs have got hold of my copy, two orders two charges.
I think I will be giving any future releases a miss from Kimchidvd, too expensive for the end result.

Don't know why this keeps happening with Kimchi to be honest. Literally never had a customs charge over the span of the last 8 years or so buying from many Korean sites, yet with Kimchi there's been a customs charge every time I've placed an order.

Just tried it on my Oppo and the disc from the box set will not play when set to region B.I do recall someone here opening the full slip version and claiming it played fine. One would assume that all of the discs should be identical,so I'm not sure why that member stated it played in their region B player.

It was me that said it - but I have a Panasonic Player in the lounge - I just tried the disc on my basic LG player in my bedroom and it doesn't load - so I take back what I said - it is most definitely region locked or something.

I hadn't realised that some Panasonic players are able to bypass region locking.

That's pretty crappy as I was led to believe this would be region free, and yes, whilst I can play it on my player - that's not the point! And i'm surprised that there has been no statement from Kimchi or anybody. As consumers, we have the right to know whether a product we buy is going to be fit for purpose - and if anyone says it's region locked for a reason - that's bull - if you don't want people outside of a region to be able to purchase, then don't offer to ship there.

I regret spending this much on it. As nice as it is, the extras disk is useless for me without subs.
Will mean double dipping on UK or US disc for extras.

I feel sorry about wrong region code info from publisher.

I double checked against publisher if region A lock or free all.

Publisher said it's region free. so I wrote region coding before release date.
but unfortunately publisher gave me wrong info about region coding,

I will ask kimchidvd to see if what kimchidvd can do for it.

if Kimchi could accept return from who has not been satisfied with disc, I will post here to process smooth action

once again, sorry for region coding error, even if region code all printed on slipcover.

The back of the full slip states that it's 'REGION ALL' and I had no trouble playing it on my region B 3D blu-ray player.... it even worked on my Mac Region B blu-ray re-writer drive... didn't have to change regions or anything... so not sure what's going on.
gotta check when I get home but pretty sure both my copies say region A only.....how and what machines did you get the disc's to play on may I ask?
I've had no joy getting it to play on a UK player, and my PS3 still thinks both disc's are DVD's :(
Dont want to cave and import the Italian version if I can help it - thanks in advance
