I think Im gonna pre order both then decide which one to buy, Ive always liked the artwork used on the Play one which came out just before I made the move to Blu ray, and so I preordered the 're release' but Id also like to own an alternative retailer exclusive edition over a general 'budget' re release, so thats a vote for the zavvi one ... decisions decisions....

Not a lot of effort put into that artwork. All black steelbooks are way too common. Like the post said above, this needs a glossy finish, debossing or something to make it stand out. Really boring IMO.

For £14.99 it needs either a special finish or added extras to justify the price. No doubt it will be 1 disc, which makes the price questionable.

Embossed title and border I reckon. I still prefer the original Play.com artwork though.

Like most, I already own the previous steelbook and don't think the film is worthy of a double-dip. Nice looking steelbook though!

As I own the original Play version, plus not being overly keen on this artwork. I think I will pass on this, even though I am a major Star Trek fan. ;)

Will wait for the next Steel from the new film later in the year. :D

I think I'll stick with the other version assuming it definately doesn't have the blue banner that the Play.com version had.

I can see what they were going for, but I'm not sure it works with a Star Trek movie. I'm also not keen on the 'a film by J.J. Abrams' text either, maybe if it has been central.
