To anyone who got there's from Walmart. How's the toy ship?

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

The saucer is diecast, and the bottom of the body is diecast. The Nacelles down to the top of the body is plastic. The bottom of the bridge section on the saucer is plastic.

Overall, I think it is nice. I have it on my desk facing off with my KRE-O mini Enterprise at work.

because of its size, the shipping would be killer. UNLESS you dont mind the ship and steel shipped without the bulky box.

Picked up my copy at the Porter Ranch store in LA. There were at least a dozen copies in stock, if not more (they were spread out all over the place in the movies section). Rang up for the sale price too, no hassle.

Then went to the Best Buy two doors down and picked up the 3D set with some Reward Zone points I had laying around.

:scat:

I just opened mine and the bottom left corner has paint missing. I'm assuming that wouldn't have happen if the steelbook was shrink wrapped. So disappointing.

i saw some pics from another forum that had issues as well.paint chips all over the edges.can't believe this wasn't sealed inside the box.i passed on this since there wasn't a 3D blu ray included.oh well ;)

The packaging was not well designed to protect the steel. The ship was inside plastic, but the steelbook was bare, left to float around. The ship and the steelbook are both made of metal. I don't get it. It's probably not even worth to swap it out, if there are any left. It's a good thing I'm getting a bunch of other steelbook releases for this movie :D

I was able to exchange my set for another and this steelbook has a spine slash! I thought I was lucky until I saw the spine. Sigh. At least it's not as obvious as the paint chip on the front cover so I guess I'll have live with it.

Yeah, not good packaging for this. I wish the steel was shrinkwrapped to protect it. Mine was worn on the bottom corners from the box :(

Mine showed up yesterday and while it was ok other than a crushed box corner, it does bother me that it is on sale at the store and the pre-order cost $10 more. It makes no sense to me to punish those that order early and then offer a price cut to go get it in the store. I never know if I will have a chance to go to the local Wally World and get one in person so ordering online works better for me.

I recommend you do what I did, I preordered one as well but also had the opportunity to pick one up in store so I plan on returing my preorder so I ony get charged $29. :movie:
