There's a few moments that make me think that. Yeah at that mark 1:45 You see Rey crying over someone who looks a bit hairy and I think you see a bit of his weapons holster, there's a moment you see the Rey & Finn with and Han walking into a place (they walk past a giant robot) and chewie is missing and also Han and Leia hugging looking sad (that could be them meeting after so many years or mourning for chewies life, if it was them meeting they would be a bit happier). Who knows but I think I might be right there
Hmm now that you mention it, it does all add up... and I guess it'd kinda make sense to kill him off. I had actually wondered how much they'd use him in the film, because Peter Mayhew who plays him isn't that great on his feet any more, so I imagine he must really struggle with the action scenes. Obviously they could just get someone else to take over the role, but Mayhew IS Chewie, so it wouldn't be right to replace him IMO, and maybe JJ realised that. I guess we'll find out for sure on the 17th anyway. :D

I thought the trailer showed Luke being tortured, and that Mark Hamilton was looking terrific for his age. Turns out it was Oscar Issac's Poe!

CRAP!!! Missed the tickets for the 16th!!!! ARG!!! :sorry: :sorry: :sorry: :sorry: :sorry:
Was too busy buying a new truck yesterday night... :(

Oh well... booked for the 17th and cheap Tuesday the 22nd!
The trailer was... tearfull!!! The story kinda brings the idea that the Jedi are no more and they "awakens".... WOW!

I don't think it was chewie.

Prob Finn or someone else who is badly injured, I cant see JJ putting a death in the trailer no matter how vague TBH.

Just WOW!
I've never looked forward to a film more than this! I've watched this new, final trailer a number of times this morning, and I tear up when the Falcon enters hyperspace and the 'This Christmas' words appear.
The assumption that Chewie bites it in this film made sense, but would Rey be that upset about it after just meeting him? Maybe he sacrificed himself?

Either way, I'm so pumped up for this!
Booked my midnight premiere (12:05 on December 17) and another showing at 1pm on the 17th.

May the Force be with us all.

You might be right but it was just something that came to mind after seeing those 3 particular scenes. But then he might be daring and that's why he put it in. I agree you can't see much but it looks like a bit of Wookie hair to me and his holster

Just WOW!

It looks like they team up together after that scene when Han says "its all true" or whatever it was so chewie might sacrifice his life for her or them making her upset. It seems like they are gona go through some sh*t together in this so that would make sense she's crying for him.

I'm only guessing tho mate and it was the first thing I noticed when I first see it. It makes sense to kill him or Han off to me as much as I don't want it to happen a big character will die IMO

Most likely OScar who bites the dust. The trailer shows him captured and tortured on that weaponized moon which is where the body is .And it's the same jacket.

I don’t believe this Kylo Ren is Luke Skywalker theory. Physical differences aside, photos of Luke in his Jedi robes (unless those are for his Force Ghost scenes) aside, I just don’t think it is a likely theory. But what if the Knights of Ren were originally the ‘new Jedi Order’ or members of a new Jedi order that Luke started after the fall of the empire in his attempt to recreate the Jedi. Maybe Luke failed and these knights were perverted to the dark side and that is why Luke is in hiding and has become a hermit, which is why Rey, Poe, and/or Finn need to find him

What if Kylo is actually Luke’s son turned to the dark side. Then when Kylo says “Nothing will stand in our way. I will finish what you started." He is not Luke talking to his father, it is Kylo talking to his grandfather …
