Really like the artwork for this and it's probably the one time I'd be perfectly fine if the 3D disc was excluded.
Don't get your hopes on the artwork you see at the moment as that is only creative artwork and temporary
It's most likely to change but hopefully will not end been something not liked
Artwork will most likely leak a month or 2 before release date going by previous releases

The Steelbook Artwork will most likely be WWA and only differences will be Jcard and full slips and lenti that Asia retailers most likely will have

It's very early days for what the artwork will end up been and is months away to find out
Disney will prefer to have WWA Steelbook for Europe/Asia as it will be cost effective to make

I never get my hopes up for anything.

The temporary art as it is now has a lot of potential and since it's being used as a placeholder for multiple countries maybe lucasfilm won't change it too drastically if at all. Either way we will all know soon enough.

Most likely they will just remove the title from the spine, sad but true.

Unfortunately knowing the people in Home Entertainment at Disney they won't give a crap and will just pump out whatever crap head office sends them, the variable in the mix is that is a Lucasfilm production and there may be some intelligent people with a sway on distribution.

I am still hopeful that we get different art here or elsewhere, the movie is making a mint so why not release half a dozen different steels, I know that I would buy them all.

We know Disney have a hardon for not putting titles on their steels, but ive begun to be extremely selective lately, so if it doesnt have a title im not getting it. Id might as well just buy the amaray.
They arent getting my money for a lazy sheitjob when steelsbooks are supposed to be a "premium" release for collectors.

I just noticed in the mock up in the OP above (and I know the design is not final yet) that there clearly seems to be a border.

Interesting.......

Some embossing on that artwork would be amazing :hungry:

The artwork will probably be a symbol or motif of some kind so that it can have a continuation for the next. Although I'm thinking BB-8 will be on the front.

The poster art would be spectacular but what are the chances?

Had an email this morning from Zavvi apologising for not delivering this and endeavouring to get it to me as soon as possible. Frankly that's just not good enough. The film has had a good run at the cinema but I think it's safe to say that it's not performed as expected, so they should bring the Steelbook release forward to maximise income...
