This is probably the worst steelbook release I've got so far this year... no title on spine, poor finish etc. and one of the most expensive I've purchased this year too.

Thankfully, @zesty saves the day by hiding it away in his awesome slip.

How is this still not sold out?
It's Star Wars for crying out loud. People would chew their limbs off to get this. I know a few die hard Star Wars fans who would give both arms and legs to Tennis Association of Bogota just so they can order this steelbook.


Everyone should just cancel their order and wait for a 50% price drop. It's inevitable, I think.

1) Lack of 3D
2) I know it's Star Wars (and I even enjoyed the prequels) but I'm in not rush to see this again - I'll just re-watch A New Hope
3) It's expensive
4) It's a rubbish design

You do realise the Nova Steelbook is the exact same steelbook as Zavvi and the rest of all releases from Europe/Asia/Pacific/Middle East

Only Best Buy USA/Canada Steelbook has the title on the front and on the spine and is full gloss
Disney USA/Canada is a different distributor setup to the Disney distributor who supply releases for Europe/Asia/Pacific Market
All other Star Wars Force Awakens steelbooks from other countries excluding USA/Canada/South America is the same as Zavvi

The Zavvi steelbook is a trade wide release with a retailer getting a exclusive in some countries
Some countries from Asia will have different Jcard or include a slipcase with the title on the slipcase and a Full Slip or Lenti

Under the Nova Full Slip and Lenti will be the same steelbook you get from Zavvi


The Best Buy Steelbook is the best one and all other releases are the same as Zavvi

So it you don't like the Zavvi release which I understand as it's not a good steelbook as the Best Buy steelbook but buying the Nova release you get the same steelbook as you get from Zavvi when you exclude the Full Slip and Lenti

Who ever designed this steelbook needs feeding to the Sarlacc, along with the steelbooks. Star wars deserves better.

It's unlikely. If you look at their Marvel ones, they've always been the Korean version of the steel which is the same as Europe.

The spine is terrible but I think it looks alright otherwise for what it is - certainly better than the mock-ups. Shame it's only alright though really.

I kept my pre-order as I hoped it wouldn't be as bad as what people were assuming. I'm definately not excited by it and it also has a small scratch on the front. Safe to say it is being returned!

Now the only question is do I get the amaray or wait for a (hopefully better) 3D steelbook!?
