Only sell that Superman head if you are 100% certain you won't ever want to display it. I know how much of a Superman fan you are and if there is even a 1% chance you might want to briefly display it someday just to change it up for a bit you probably won't ever be able to get it back reasonably priced.

People will look at us like we are insane if we tell them how much these things cost .

I didn't realize XM did two Caps already. I think I forgot how quickly this company cranks out products. I can't wait to see what they do with DC if they get the license.

Okay, I'll keep my Superman EX head. Never know.

Yeah, they've made on Cap holding an American flag and they just made a new one where he's saluting. I don't understand how they make their product so fast.

They think that whether I say that or not, LOL!

It's the only Heston film I like. Well, maybe except for Wayne's World, Haha!

Yeah, unreal, right? I had put a BIN of $850 and a first bid at $345. Sure enough, someone bid one it the minute it went up. And, it sat at $450 all the way up to the day the auction ended. Had no idea it would have ended that high.

So do I! I might just watch it tonight. Haven't seen it this year yet.

That's ok man. I'll be douche enough for both of us, LOL! I really want to get it because it's Jango, but I also really need to focus my collection more. I'm not saying never, just not likely.

I have thought about selling the Tarkin PF. I have the EX, but no box for it. It would have to be someone local or I'd have to find a good way to ship it without it getting f'd up. I can do it. Have done it before, but it's a PITA! If you hear of someone hear Washington who is looking for it though, send them my way.

No Planet of the Apes??? That's one of the best sci-fi movies ever!

Gordon Street? Ahh.. yes. Gordon Street.

I bet there is someone kicking themselves right now for not buying it now for $850 .

LOL! Maybe if you keep making bank on all of your statues at this rate you'll have enough to buy a dozen XM pieces and a Jango PF lol.

If you want I can make a post letting people know you might be looking to sell your Tarkin for local pickup in Washington. I can't blame you for not wanting to ship one of those without the original box. I always cringe a little whenever I sell one of them even if I have the original box and styrofoam just knowing how much abuse the boxes take in the mail.

I was thinking the same thing, whoever paid the $1K probably never knew it originally had a $850 BIN.

Good call! You just never know.

Except for their SW stuff which they just don't want to release lol. But I have a feeling they will finally release a bunch of the SW statues right at the same time and then it will be like a flood of SW stuff from that point forward.

Planet of the Apes was awesome. As a kid I really used to love that movie, I haven't seen it in like 15 years though.

Have you ordered the Cheetah PF yet, or are you debating on that one?

Ha, yeah I don't know what the holdup is with their SW stuff! I saw Iron Studios has a 1/10 Qui-Gon, about time someone made him. Hopefully a 1/4 scale will follow, although it seems there's a lot of QC issues with their Spidey.

Have you watched the two newer Apes movies? (Not the disaster Mark Wahlberg made)

I did order Cheetah. Will be nice to get a statue that doesn't have a leg up!

Awesome! I think she looks really good.

I was looking at the 1:10 Qui-Gon for awhile now, and I was thinking about ordering him to tide me over until SS finally makes a PF, but after seeing in-hand pics I don't think it turned out that well. Especially since it costs more than twice as much as a Koto 1:10 would cost.

That sucks to hear about Spidey. I was thinking about flipping my Boba PF for the new one but I was reading through the thread the other day and that thing has a ton of QC issues too. It pisses me off after all of this time they still can't iron out their QC problems. I'm keeping my old Boba because I don't want to risk it.

I actually didn't hate the Wahlberg one that badly lol. But I really loved the 2 newer ones, especially the newest one with Gary Oldman.

You're talking about the Iron Studios Spider-Man too right? Because my Sideshow Spider-Man is awesome. I didn't actually look at the Qui-Gon pictures, that's too bad.

Oh man, I thought that Wahlberg movie was atrocious, ha ha. The newer ones are pretty cool, especially with the special effects we have now. The original is still my favorite, it's classic sci-fi.

Sorry, I should have paid more attention to what you wrote, I just saw 1/4 scale and QC issues and I automatically assumed you meant Sideshow .

Qui-Gon is okay for 1:10 I guess, but since Iron Studio's 1:10 cost about $150 or more shipped to the US, I don't think some of them are worth that. Koto can do nearly as good of a job, if not better and those are like $50. Iron Studio's 1:10 Palpatine is really awesome though, I wish all the characters turned out that good.

Its been a long time since I've seen the original Planet of the Apes. I haven't seen the Wahlberg one in awhile either, maybe its worse than I remember lol.

Some more descriptions about the XM stuff:

Maul:

It's a lot more graceful than that. He's jumping off the side of the speeder with one foot like he's pushing off, and his other knee is in the air. There's a wave of sand coming up from under the other side of the speeder like it's in motion. He had his robe on, which had excellent texturing and was sculpted to be flowing behind him. His face was clearly visible and it looked to have a good likeness (though it's harder to tell without paint). Both his arms were up over his head holding the dual lightsaber. Sort of in a way that looked like he was about to do a downward stroke. It's huge and has a big presence because he's standing on the speeder and has his arms over his head. Yet the footprint looked to be pretty manageable, as the base itself wasn't too big. The biggest part was the lightsaber.

Vader:

You're welcome!

No, apparently the approvals are very stringent for Star Wars so they take longer. The Vader trio was painted and looked pretty much finished, so I imagine it will be the next one shown. I actually really liked the trio despite not at all liking the prequels. I thought the likeness was great on both young Anakin and jedi Anakin. They had young Anakin on a small sandy base, jedi Anakin on a medium sized rocky lava base, and then Vader on a taller death star looking base. It really gave a sense of the progression from young boy to Darth Vader, and I thought it looked very nice in person. Grievous is HUUUUUGGGGEEEE!!!!! But looked amazing :)

Ugh, just show us the pictures! Although that Maul doesn't sound appealing to me, if I were to get one I'd go with the Sideshow version.

Ha, I can see how you automatically associate bad QC with Sideshow, but it actually wasn't them this time! Like I said, my Spider-Man is awesome.

All of the Iron Studios pieces are very over priced, that's all I got to say about that.

I'm getting more and more anxious to see them. I think these are going to be so huge and dynamic they will have to be displayed out in the open to get the full effect of everything they are going to have going on.

Glad your Spider-Man is awesome. I haven't had a QC issue with SS for awhile now. But I'm still reading about them way too many times than I should be. I definitely still feel stressed every time I get a new piece thinking that something will be f'ed up.

I shutter to think what Iron Studios 1:4 SW stuff is going to cost, considering their 1:10 is like 3 times the price of a Koto.

I just saw this about XM Grievous:

It's Sisko;8881531 said:
Here are the measurements for General Grievous courtesy of Radd Titan. This was without his light sabers attached....

44 inches wide x 28 inches deep x 30 inches tall

:wow:

If this is true this is going to be so much more massive than I was expecting. You would need a freaking table to display this thing.

Gordon Street? Ahh.. yes. Gordon Street.

Let me think about it. Had a bad experience some years ago on a couple sites that escalated into a mob bashing the crap outta me, and in return, I acted like an *******. It ended up ruining my name and my credibility with alot of collectors even those that were "my friends." It has taken years to get to a point where I'm more comfortable selling again, and now I'm only doing one at a time, and also preferring local pick up to avoid that fiasco happening again.

Yeah, I shipped the Snowtrooper in the original SS box and everything, and that thing still arrived damaged. I ended up giving the buyer $70 which was refunded shipping, and enough to buy some 2part epoxy to fix the break. The same guy who bought the Han in Carbo is also buying my 1:1 Greedo. It has no box, but his parents live just a few hours away, so I'm driving it up there in the next couple weeks. I'm willing to do that with all my statues that I'm selling but no farther than Idaho and Oregon.

LOL! Right now I just have my eyes on Vader, Maul, and Grievous. Seems like those are going to be epic pieces.

I'm not a fan of it. I've seen it a ton of times though. My Moms husband used to watch those all the time when I was a kid. I much prefer the new ones with Caesar. If it makes you feel better, I'm not a fan of 2001 A Space Odyssey or Blade Runner too, LOL!

I actually like the Wahlberg Apes. Not the best movie, but still alot of fun. No way does it compare to the newer ones though, IMO.

Good luck on flipping the OG Boba. I put that up and no one wanted to go over $200 for it. I might see about doing a trade at the Star Wars shop I went to in Aberdeen (the one I made the motovlog of).

Oh that really sucks. Some of these forum sites can get really ****** at times.

Man, that sucks about the Snowtrooper. I swear all carriers beat the crap out of their packages like they don't even care. Good to hear you've already got a buyer lined up for Greedo though.

I wasn't a huge fan of Blade Runner either. I didn't think the movie was bad, but it didn't live up to all of the hype for me. I thought it was just an ok movie.

I'm not going to flip the OG Boba anyways. Although the new one has an epic base if I put it in a besta the doors will block out most of the details on the base making it pretty much pointless to upgrade. Plus the OG fits in a besta perfectly. I will be displaying Jango out of the bestas though to take full advantage of the details of that base. He'll be going near my TV like you've got your clones displayed.

This new XM Grievous is going to make the SS one look dinky, and that PF is already huge. I've been messing around with a tape measure for the last few minutes seeing how long 44" really is. Thats almost as long as 2 bestas next to each other. I can't even imagine just how epic that piece is going to be. Have you started thinking about how you are going to display these things yet? :p

Haha! Vader trio, yes. The others, no. From the sound of things though, if Maul and Grievous turn out as epic as I think they are, I may just have those and Vader along with a couple SS pieces in my room.

Nice! That will make an awesome display.

I've seen BR a bunch of times. Just not into it like alot of my friends are.

It was just two people from the start. It then escalated with haters joining in especially one total douche in romania who pestered me for years and he didn't have anything to do with all of it. Back when I was good in the BR forum, mods would tell me when his IP would pop up and they'd block his fake account. Had other sites do it too. Not all their fault though. Once that happened, I made some bad choices. Live and learn. I will say that if I ever run into that romanian dude, I'm going to whoop his ass!

I know that guy, he is a pompous douche. He's one of those guys that knows every single detail on every SW outfit and item and criticizes every product for not being screen accurate. He's really into hand made non-licensed stuff.

I'm not the hugest Grievous fan but I want this piece just because of its massive size. I was going around measuring the massive size of that thing last night just trying to see how much room it would take up. People that are getting this are going to have to dedicate some serious real estate to this piece alone. I knew once I heard it was going to come with his one wheeled bike thing the base would have to be pretty big, but I wasn't expecting this big at all. I'm wondering if adding the lightsabers in will make it even wider or deeper.

Hopefully the Vader dio will be able to fit into a besta, separately at least. If these things all hook together somehow thats going to be another piece with a huge footprint. I'm really looking forward to see how the Anakins turn out. It sounds like Jedi Anakin and the lava Mustafar base is going to be a massively upgraded version of the 1:7 Koto that came out a long time ago.

I'll be displaying the Vader trio together for sure. So, no besta for me, LOL! Not sure how to do it yet though. Will have to see the piece first. I can't believe someone is making a Grievous of that size. Finally! That and Maul will be center pieces for sure!

Yeah he is. He had always been passive aggressive when I posted pics of my collection. Nit picking, putting things down like my cabinets, certain pieces, and how I displayed everything. Total hater. Once the ebay situation hit the forums, he took the lead of the mob. Like I said, he hadn nothing to do with it. You know what's really funny though, sorta, alot of those who were the loudest about it later on ended up scamming others. That romanian guy I know has pulled some shady crap I bet.

I can't believe anyone is making a quarter scale piece that size! Its insane. I keep thinking its gotta be a typo or a length misconversion, I just can't believe the footprint on that thing. I hope you get Grievous so badly! There is still a part of me thats thinking I might get their Maul, but I wouldn't have a clue where to put it. It will probably be another year or two before we see it anyways.

I don't think his poop brown cabinets look any better than a besta, plus he's rocking a 70's style TV cart there . That there should not give him any confidence to knock anyone else's collection lol.

The size of the Grievous is insane! That thing is too deep to even put on top of a Besta. Is he going to be riding on that speeder (I'm not a big enough nerd to know what it was called) he was on when he fought Obi-Wan?

Let me think about it. Had a bad experience some years ago on a couple sites that escalated into a mob bashing the crap outta me, and in return, I acted like an *******. Good luck on flipping the OG Boba. I put that up and no one wanted to go over $200 for it. I might see about doing a trade at the Star Wars shop I went to in Aberdeen (the one I made the motovlog of).

I'm literally sithing my pants right now. Damn I can't wait!

You need a table to display the SS one already. Good Lord! I will have to have it!

That sucks about your snowtrooper. I remember when I disassembled mine to put him back in the box, one of his gloves broke into three pieces on me. I think it was kind of a fragile statue.

I've never watched 2001 either, that's also on my list. It's been forever since I watched Blade Runner, but I remember thinking that I didn't get what the big deal was. I need to rewatch that one as well. Do you guys have any good sci-fi movies you'd recommend?

You're almost going to have to get custom pedestals built...although I don't know if they can make them wide enough for these pieces!

I'm not sure what forum you're talking about, but that sounds awful. I don't think I ever knew why you left the BR forum, I'm pretty oblivious.

I fell like you need to tell me who this person is so I can go mock their collection, ha ha.

The size of the Grievous is insane! That thing is too deep to even put on top of a Besta. Is he going to be riding on that speeder (I'm not a big enough nerd to know what it was called) he was on when he fought Obi-Wan?

I think someone said his speeder thing is beside him, he's not riding it supposedly. With the size of thing I wish they would have squeezed Obi-Wan onto this thing while they were at it.

I haven't seen 2001 either lol. I think I saw part of it when I was a kid but I don't remember anything about it. I'll have to go and dig through all my DVD's and think of some obscure sci-fi movies.

His name is JKNO on all the Freaks forum and Seirgue (don't know if I'm spelling it right lol) or something like that on Rebelscum, I don't know any of his other names. This guy has a cool collection, but he's just a pompous douche. I've seem him talk so much **** about people's stuff for not being screen accurate. He buys all these hand made props, or props from companies that don't officially have a Star Wars license but they are somehow able to sell the casts of the helmets under another name.

Oh I've seen his collection before on the Freaks board, it's alright. I started reading all of his forum posts and he is most definitely one of those people who nitpicks on accuracy. Speaking of custom made Star Wars stuff, I found this guy on facebook and really want to get a Greedo mask. https://www.facebook.com/Chrisstephenscreations/ I don't know why, but I always thought Greedo was cool looking even though his outfit is pretty basic.

You'll have to let me know on sci-fi movies. Next on my list is Interstellar, I still can't psych myself up to sit through it since it's almost 3 hours. I haven't seen Ex Machina yet either, is that one good? I went to Hell or High Water at the theaters tonight, it was a pretty solid movie. There was a preview for a new sci-fi movie coming out called Arrival. I just realized I probably shouldn't be asking for sci-fi advice from someone who has never seen Firefly/Serenity! :p

I like Greedo too. The whole design just screams 70's sci-fi to me.I checked out that guy's facebook and imgrum pages and he does some really awesome work! Does he sell these things through Facebook and do you know how much they cost? I tried to see if he had a website but I couldn't find it.

And he's even got a Hondo freaking Ohnaka mask!

I know that might not interest you at all Adam, but Lou's gonna love that this mask guy is even giving The Clone Wars some love!

Okay, you probably shouldn't listen to any input from me when it comes to sci-fi movies :p. I haven't seen Interstellar either yet, or Ex Machina (although I have seen the Alicia Vikander nudes online :D), and I haven't even seen The Martian yet. I pretty much suck lol,.

Yeah he makes them to order. I actually did contact him, he told me a Greedo mask would be $337.14 and the mask plus the hands would be $453.84. He's in the UK so those are the prices converted to USD. Plus I'm sure shipping on one of those things wouldn't be cheap. If I did it, I'd pretty much wear the costume all the time, ha ha. I don't know how comfortable it would be to wear that mask all day at comic con.

I'd also like to find someone who makes Jedi robes if either of you can point me in that direction...

I've at least seen The Martian, that was a good one! I guess I will let you know how Interstellar is once I watch it. Now to go look at Alicia Vikander nude...uh I meant back to football. Yeah that's it.
