STARKILLER BASE

Welcome to my Star Wars Memorabilia based home theater room. Star Wars is what got me into HT, and now into collecting Star Wars statues, 1:1 busts, and dioramas from Sideshow Collectibles. I update as new product arrives so check back now and then. Thank you for visiting and enjoy:

Damn dude! You got some bi's on ya! It may be time to go perma sleeveless, LOL!

That's just the rumor, don't quote me on that! There may not be a new cabinet system at all. But you're right, IKEA should definitely be more concerned about us SS collector's needs when making decisions on display cabinet dimensions!

Ikea at one time had a site called "Share Space" where you could put up pics of how you use their product. I imagine if more collectors went in there and added their setups, and commented on how they could be improved or bigger, they'd make it happen.

Ha, thanks! People comment on my arms all the time, they are my genetic gift. Unfortunately they are disproportionate to the rest of my body, ha!

That's too bad that share space site is gone. Of course I have to assume that realistically us collectors make up an extremely tiny portion of their Besta sales.

I wish they still had that thing on there. We could get all the statue collectors to post pics and also show Ikea how we could use a new full length door.

Yeah, not sure what happened to it especially since people were putting up pics all the time.

LOL! I hear ya! The same thing with me but with my quads, although, I think my calves are starting to come in thanks to doing sprints and a little more running.

I'm jealous! Most guys at the gym have chicken legs (including me), I've added a 2nd leg day to try to add some size to them. We have one guy at our gym who competes in bodybuilding and he has the same "problem" as you, we call him Quadzilla.

LOL! That poor guy! ;) There are a few leg workouts I can message you, if interested, that will push your legs to the limit. Beware, you will need a couple days of recovery.

Yeah, pac may be on to something though. SS has been known to put their own "lightup effect" on stuff that doesn't actually light up. Not to mention, the lights on the belt and chest aren't lit in the pic either. I'm ok with no lightup TBH though, it's just weird considering how they did it with the first, so why not this one. You're right though, we'll know Tues. for sure! :)

Yeah you're right SS has added fake light up features to pics in the past. But I'd find it a bit odd if they would go as far as having the pose with the saber out but not having it light up. I saw the chest lights weren't lit up either. I always assumed this would be a light up piece. I'm going to be pretty honest the light up feature is what's going to make or break it for me getting this PF. I like being able to show off the light up effect for people, I think it makes the piece more fun. I would have no shame in picking up the old one instead. It still has a top knotch mixed media outfit IMO.

I'll be pretty disappointed if it doesn't light up too. The saber on Darth Malgus is really cool, I don't turn any of the rest of mine on though. I checked the Vader thread on the freaks board and didn't see anyone mention the light saber not lighting up (which is shocking with all the complaining going on about this piece). The only legitimate gripe they have is that it would look better if he was looking to the left like the art preview instead of straight on.

I barely turn mine on either but it's still a really awesome feature. The more time I've had to look at the piece the less crazy I am about the arms. They are posed a bit odd. The helmet position is odd too. But some seem to think the head will be poseable. I'm really looking forward to the full reveal tomorrow to see what features it does and doesn't have as well as pricing. But if I don't love it or if I think it's too expensive I'll be passing.

Yeah, the OG Vader's outfit is excellent! Probably one of the best SS has ever done make no mistake! I don't think you'd be disappointed with it if you went that route over the new Vader PF.

I'd like to be able to position the head the way I want it, but not a deal breaker for me. Considering the how awesome the lightup feature is on Malgus, yeah, it's kinda odd if they go with no light up on this. Again, not a deal breaker though.

I think the pose is good, being able to position the head the way you want would be awesome! I assumed it would have that option considering most of the helmeted characters after Vader have poseable heads.

I'm sure I'd be plenty happy with the OG Vader too. If I go that route I don't have to worry about Besta fitment issues. I'll probably pick up the OG Fett too. I actually bid on one of those last year but I lost out on it at the last second. But it went for a bit more than I was seeing others go for so I wasn't really upset. I should be able to find good deals on both OG Vaders and Fett once the new ones start shipping.
