Ok, so they don't have any US distributors? I imagine part of the SW license will be making sure us fans in the US get their product somehow.

Better late than never! Ha ha. As far as I know, XM doesn't have the distribution rights in the USA which is why it's so difficult to get their product. I thought I heard that they just got distribution rights in Europe, but don't quote me on that. You basically need a contact overseas to get one for you or pay insane amounts on the ebay aftermarket. Which sucks because I really want the Daredevil statue they are making.

I did! Agreed, the likeness is the most amazing Luke I've seen. I'm sticking to my guns though, and holding off until HT does some TFA stuff.

Nice! Yeah, flank, flat, or skirt will work. I've been adding a tablespoon of low sodium soy sauce as it cooks, and also use a soy-orange sauce (tablespoon) after I've served it up in a bowl. So good!

I haven't watched it in a couple months, but everytime I do see it, it still has that huge emotional impact. My "Batman Fan" daughter also liked Shannon's performance as Zod, and that was a big highlight for her. No one actor stood out for me. It was all just so good!



OH DEAR GOD YES!!!!!!!! Fully sculpted or mixed media, I'm in!

BigBadToyStore (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/company.aspx?company=1806&browse=1) does carry XM products but they usually sell out right when they go up for order and then flippers usually put them up on eBay right away for thousands of dollars. I'm not an XM guy so I don't know how to find out when they go up for order. www.Simplytoys.com.sg (which I just bookmarked) is a Singapore distributor but they will supposedly ship XM stuff to U.S. customers. Other than that I think the only way to get their stuff is on eBay

Well those are the two franchises that Disney doesn't have the movie rights to and I'm guessing XM got licensing through Disney. But XM is making the characters based off the comics so I'm not sure how it all works.

It sucks that all the Marvel movie universe isn't under the same company...Hugh Jackman and Robert Downey Jr. would have been cool to see together.

I would have loved to see Jackman and Downey together in a movie too. To bad the studios can't play nice and let their characters all come together into one movie. At least Sony is making progress by letting Marvel Studios use him in upcoming movies.

Simplytoys is definitely a good backup plan. I'm sure the shipping prices to the U.S. must be crazy high though.

I was just doing some currency conversions and it looks like BBTS can charge up to double what XM's list prices are. I suppose thats still better than what these go for on eBay.

I know! But, as much as I want to see HT do a 1/4 scale version of him, I really want to see other characters. So many that they, and other companies, can do, but all seem to be focused on the same thing ATM.

Yeah, I've read about their QC and awesome CS. Looking at their products so far, they look spectacular and so dynamic. Really can't wait to see what they do! I read over on SF where an XM person chimed in that they are waiting on approval for a 1/4 Vader.

BTW, as I said, I had been busy all weekend. While alot of it was out and about, some of it was spent upgrading my lights in my cabinets. Didn't get it all done, as you can see on the end column to the left, but will finish it up soon:

It definitely seems like all these high end companies start out with the ANH characters. And then they'll do all the different versions of those characters from the rest of the OT. They won't show much love for the prequel lovers for quite awhile. I'm still waiting on a nice Qui-Gon from some company lol. But as far as HT 1/4 stuff goes I don't think they are going to crank these out nearly as quickly as their sixth scale stuff. We'll see the main popular characters for sure, but I wouldn't count on a 1/4 Aunt Beru any time soon.

XMs stuff is definitely dynamic. The bases really go with the characters. Good to see they are doing Vader, but lets be honest there is no way a company gets the SW license and doesn't make a Vader lol. It would be really awesome to see him in his meditation chamber.

Can't wait to see some pics!

The shipping prices of XM definitely factor into the price hikes, but a lot of it is just people wanting to pad their wallets because they know people will pay it. BBTS was charging over $1200 for Iron Man Mk VII . I think BBTS is more of a reseller than a distributor when it comes to some stuff. They even get items in that are used and they even sell those higher than MSRP at times. I'd probably bet they only get a couple of each XM piece in to sell. If we could get XM to get an actual distributorship here in the US then I could maybe get myself a couple of these things.

Congrats ordering Luke! If their ROTJ version comes out that good I think I'll be getting it.

I read a post from SSAlex who said the next SW PF might be shown off in the fall or winter, and she said there could possibly be a second one too. I'm guessing they must be Jango and the Sandy unless they have others they haven't teased yet. Maybe TFA stuff? She also said the Vader LSF will hopefully be up for order at the end of this year or beginning of next. That thing was supposed to be here last freaking summer.

Those look freaking sweet! Its awesome that you can get theme lighting for each cube if you want. I'm going to have to look for a new lighting idea for my white Bestas as it looks like Ikea just discontinued the 22" Inreda lights . Where did you get your new lights from?

I'm guessing they must be Jango and the Sandy unless they have others they haven't teased yet. Maybe TFA stuff? The lights are from Barlighting.com. The lights are about 12" strips. I put mine going front to back rather than across. Easier to keep wires from being seen and all that.

However I'm guessing the red lighting kind of washes out the colors on the statues? Especially Darth Talon who is red. So do you have room for all the TFA stuff in your display or room to expand your display?

It does wash the colors out a bit, but you can definitely see the character. I'm mostly doing the auto rotating lights so it cycles through all the colors these lights can make in about 30 seconds. Makes for a cool effect. Can also have different sections of cabinets rotate lighting different colors so that sections are all rotating different color options. Plenty to play around with.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it too. They sure as hell can't tell me that the Vader LSF delay had something to do with the Mythos line, LOL! Same with PF's. Those are Sideshows trademark product. If someone DID put PF's on the back burner to make way for more Mythos pieces, that was a huge mistake. PF's should always come first.

Batts where costing me a year as much as this one time purchase of lighting. So happy I finally made the change. If you go the Barlighting route, LMK.

No, not at all, LOL! I'm tapped out on my room, and need to figure out what is going upstairs in the loft display. I'm currently trying to figure out what to move and what to keep in the room. Most likely, the main characters of the 6 movies and TCW will remain, while EU and secondary characters will move up to the loft. It does wash the colors out a bit, but you can definitely see the character. I'm mostly doing the auto rotating lights so it cycles through all the colors these lights can make in about 30 seconds. Makes for a cool effect. Can also have different sections of cabinets rotate lighting different colors so that sections are all rotating different color options. Plenty to play around with.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it too. They sure as hell can't tell me that the Vader LSF delay had something to do with the Mythos line, LOL! Same with PF's. Those are Sideshows trademark product. If someone DID put PF's on the back burner to make way for more Mythos pieces, that was a huge mistake. PF's should always come first.

Oh man those are so freaking cool! So are these basically it, plus extra strips? http://www.barlighting.com/11-Strip-Multicolored-LED-Kit-p/11sk-rgb.htm Did you have to drill just one hole for each cube, and do you feel the strips secure safely? The thing I loved the most about the Ikea lights was it had a bracket that you screwed directly into the "wood" and then the light actually snapped into it. Those things won't be going anywhere. When it comes to lighting I'm always overly cautious to make sure they won't fall on my stuff.

I think SS was just trying to make some lame excuse for lack of SW PFs. The bottom line is they are putting most of their efforts into DC and marvel stuff.
