After seeing the live pics, I have no regrets about getting the Maniacs. They look good, and the GITD effect doesn’t mind me at all (‘cause I’m not gonna see it anyway!). But also glad I have Nova.

It looks tacky without any background image to go with. I can't help but think of a video game rendering in a sandbox environment. They should have gone with the winner of the artwork poll they held many moons ago (see the spoiler in the OP).

That is true, but that cyborg on the back looks off nevertheless. It's simply not an image that is well balanced enough to stand on its own. Compare it with front and you'll immediately notice. What's further distracting in this case is the embossing border. If there were none, it wouldn't look so crammed from all sides.

Delayed (surprise surprise)

Dear collectors,

let us kindly apologize for repeated delays in the release date of TERMINATOR 2 Judgment Day editions.

The reason for these delays was a technical problem in the compatibility of the data transferred between the authoring studio and the Blu-ray manufacturer. This problem lasted for several weeks, and on Friday, February 15, 2019, they managed to synchronize all the Blu-ray master discs except for UHD disc, where we will wait for tomorrow's confirmation from the manufacturer, as soon as the disk is re-checked with its verification software.

We're moving the current release dates of 3D and 2D versions to the dates that should be real, and when we plan to start shipping. The release date of UHD editions should be updated tomorrow.

Please accept our apology for the troubles and waiting.

TERMINATOR 2:
It took a long time to finish all the four T2 master discs. Checking individual discs needed a longer time, then the authoring studio had to overcome the compatibility verification of the data transferred to the production. On Friday 8, 2019, they successfully passed the verification of the 2D and 3D master discs, on Wednesday 13, 2019 we have gone through the UHD disc verification. All of them are now in production. T2 now waits for discs, lenticulars, and boxes. The currently set release dates should match delivery times and subsequent completion if nothing else happens.
