Totally agree. For me it's a perfect release, and only could be better with a numbered sticker (xx/1500).

I don't care about values of editions, and I love open all of mine (steelbooks, digipaks, boxes...). The opening or unboxing is my magic moment.

In other hand, if I do not open a steelbook I will never know if it is in perfect condition or it has minor or important damages...

About T2 Korea, IMO, it's very exciting get the first exclusive release from a shop. In a few months or maybe one or two years, when kimchidvd has several exclusive steels more, the number one will be a grial; I have no doubt about that. Too many people will want to get all the numbers, and much of them will know these exclusives from number 2 or 3...

But, if I must to be honest, for me, the true holy grial is T2 head (skynet blu ray edition). I want the steelbook to put it next to T2 head. That moment will be really nice!!!

Well, and now...
what about number 2 exclusive from kimchidvd?
Rocky? Rosemary's baby? Dark city? or something new as The Grandmaster? I'm waiting for fresh news about that...

But most of ninja still is interested in only print run

Firsrt T2 is national wide release steelbook only in Korea like Hurt locker KR and resident evil trilogy KR etc

In thw begining, This T2 steelbook via kimchi and local market is everything same nothing different

So I tried to give more specials to Ninja members in HDN so I suggest him to put more specials to HDN like photo card with T2 logo poly bag and exclusive sticker like ES and FNAC

and I also suggest 1500 limited print run with this exclusive only in kimchidvd

That's what I post here about this first release

Next thing is national wide release

Now One local shopping mall like Amazon Korea start pre-order T2 from Korean collectors
But this release dies not include any special gift as photo card and sticker and more

Just steelbook and full slip case only but price is too high for korean collectors

But I do not know how many local print run to be sold but I guess no more than 500 or so due to very small collectors in korea market

so you can see this release on ebay or yes-asia but you have to check Kimchidvd exclusive or not

That's why I put sticker on it to distinguish the exclusive one and the others

So whole print run including local can not be more than 3000 because scanavo deliver the 3000 only

So anyone is not interested in this release and want to cancel the order because of print run

Please send cancel notice to Tony at kimchidvd

Tony will be happy to cancel your order

As matter of fact, Tony do not want to accept no more pre-order even he did not reach sales target

Seriously a great job so far on all the information we have been given on this release. People talk about the production run as they are struggling to find a fault on the steelbook release itself.

i can only hope that you provide this much information for Exclusive No.2

I don't care about the print run (except it's f.e. a german steelbook nearly without limitation at all, makes no fun collecting because you can wait +2 years and it's still available most of the times much cheaper than the original price),
got my order in and I'm happy, it's a steelbook with so much effort put in you won't find often nowadays

So which DVD steelbooks are commanding high prices?

I can name titles even in VHS that are commanding high prices, which i have been collecting since i was 6 years old by the way 25 years ago...
I cant tell you without a little research any titles in old media that would bring the kind of cash that for example Iron man FS do...
But i have among many other titles 1. editions of texas chainsaw 1 and 2 on VHS from melody line where I was a VIP member until they closed many years ago, that was at one point totally banned because of cencorship. I bet those will bring a shiny coin if i were to sell them...
I also have a big collection of dvd steelbooks, and among them are 1. edition hitchhikers guide to the galaxy which at least some years ago was hard to come by. I actually havent looked at this collection for quite some time but i think you catch my drift. Just because I am new to this forum does not mean I do not know anything about collectibles

Choi, thank you for the clarification. It now makes more sense. I would suggest that Tony stop taking any more pre orders by this weekend. Given the number of views this thread has, everyone in HDN has already had more than a reasonable chance of ordering a copy.
