No, the hunger games was a Friday or Saturday in the US, a few Harry potters have been on Fridays. It just depends on what they feel like doing...:movie:

I get why they did a Friday release for Hunger Games & Harry Potter, but I don't see any retailer doing a midnight roll out for this title, or for that matter, kids begging their parents to take them to the midnight roll out.

There have been quite a few BB steels, that i've ordered online a month or so before release and chose in store pickup. The last one i did it with was Snow White and The Huntsman.

They seemed to have changed that option since for many of the upcoming releases i don't have the option for store pickup yet. I'm hoping Best Buy ships out my online orders on Wednesday for the Friday release.

I think it all depends on how much supply there is. If its a regular run and it sells out I would say yes it will be a good one.

I'd hate to compete with any other users here on Friday. So if anyone has plans to go to Oakland/Emeryville, Ca Best Buy in the morning to pick this up, I can easily go to Richmond, Ca location and get mine there.

They will not ship till release date 11/9. At least they have never shipped mine earlier. And in-store pickup is usually not an option now till around 12/3 AM morning of release. That's when I place my order

lately i've gotten a few preorders ship out days before its release to get to my door on release date. i've checked my bestbuy preorder for this steelbook, so far it hasn't been charged to my card yet or in shipping process. would be nice to have it by friday, but will see.
