Ive seen the film last night and i will pass for this. First is the acting was ok but the directing is so bad and the spiderman is not muscular cause in this film he was skinny. The last one is the script is so bad even young teenager can write this script or maybe even better:cool:

Watch it first before you buy the film and for me tobey maguire is much better and he can do the spiderman job period

The story was a bit weak, especially the Peter Parker one. A lot of it was totally off from the comic books. The Tobey Spider man was a lot better storywise, sure the mutant webs didn't make much sense but other then that it was a lot more spot on. A lot of loop holes IMO.

I did really like the parts though when he was in costume. The costume and the webshooters were done well and so were the fight scenes.

I think a lot of people are confused. I've been seeing a lot of people posting this all over the net.

The Amazing Spiderman is based off a different set of comics from the ones that Sam Rami's last three movies were. Like Batman, Batman Returns were from a different set from Batman Begins and the Dark Knight are. You can't really compare them in that respect. As for the movie itself I haven't seen it yet but look forward to. I like the first two Spiderman's and hated the third. I think this is their chance to get away from Rami's movies and move into a different direction. I think people are having issue with the fact that it's to close to the releases of the first three. I actually don't mind it. And he is supposed to be that skinny in the Amazing Spiderman. It's taken right from the comics.

As for the steelbook, I am still on the fence as whether to get this one or wait and see if Futureshop gets one since I have orders for around the same time that can ship with it. Decisions, decisions. :D

Seen the movie monday. Loved it. :) Pre-ordered this :) I thought Spider-Man 1-3 were cool too. But I like reboots, even if they are so close to other movies. It's cool to see someone else do the same concept with a different idea. :)

I loved this film. I prefer the slightly more realistic style. The casting is the key with Garfield, Stone, Field and Sheen giving good natural performances and delivering real emotion unlike the cartoony Raimi films. The Lizard was cool but he needed more screen time. The 3D web swinging was awesome, particularly the sequence at the end when he's trying to reach the Oscorp building. Emma Stone is daamn fine, I've been saying this since Zombieland. She's got a really big pair of... eyes, oh and a sexy voice too.

Well if that's the case what Spiderman comics is is based on? It sure isn't based on the amazing spiderman comics or the ultimate universe. Unless its a comic that's been released over the last 5 years it doesn't compare to any of the ones I've read and I've read most of the spiderman comics prior to that.

Just saw this movie in IMAX 3D today with the GF. First thing she said was, "baby this is my new favorite movie." Then I said, "better then Avengers?" Her response was, "yup!" so if any of you is on the fence about watching this movie I highly suggest that you do. The IMAX 3D was awesome, with drama, comedy, and plenty of action. Definately another awesome block buster super hero movie for this summer. I will definitely be getting the steel for this movie but I don't know if I will be getting this edition with the figurine?

I don't think most people would say it's better than The Avengers, but I did enjoy it. I think Andrew Garfield is much better than Tobey McGuire as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. It had some pretty cool moments. One word: cranes.

^oh yeah dont get me wrong I personally love Avengers more myself. I was just using Avengers as a way to gauge how much my GF actually liked the movie. The Amazing Spider man would be a close second best movie this year for me.
